Yes ... MGMAT quant is reported by a number test-takers to be harder... so you are correct in your suspicion :-)

Checking this in 2022 is still relevant (and more importantly, relieving). What do you think about the difficulty level of GMAT Glub's sectional tests?

Thanks!

Thank you - I can confirm a number of folks saying that MGMAT Tests (as good and great as they are, were deflating the quant scores for people by about 2-3 points - meaning you can expect to score hire on the test). Many mentioned Verbal was spot on.

About GMAT Club tests - you can check reviews as an aggregated spot for feedback perhaps (though probably too positive) 🤷‍♂️

We tried to match our scoring to the GMAT's (even though some of the questions we have are on the harder side) but I still heard people say they scored higher on the GMAT than on the GMAT Club tests but that's simply anecdotal.... but! I am planning to do a study and pull some data for the last few years to compare people's results and publish them more or less as they are for both Quant and Verbal portions of the test. (in part, I have heard people say they got inflated Verbal scores on GMAT Club tests and I want to verify that). It is usually a bit of a tricky and painful process since people take tests sometimes months away from their final date and sometime they take tests without a serious attitude. Also things like experimental questions can throw a wrench into the whole thing.... anyway, I am going to try to pull this together in the next few weeks.

Thx.

That's great! I just wrote Manhattan mock test and scored a terrible 600! My test results in OG mocks and Experts Global mocks are wayyyyy better than this. I have access to GMAT Club tests as well and I am gonna try them out. Have just accessed two Verbal mocks yet - one was a terrible 29 (Mostly it was guessing and I do not consider that test) and the other one was 6 (opened the test but did not attempt any questions, thus wasted one test!)

You do t actually waste a test with GMAT club tests. Just make sure you end it. Click the stop button, and that will release all the questions back into the database. If you have already finished it and release the questions, it shouldn’t really impact the number of verbal tests available.

I have the following practice test scores:

Cat 1 - Q37, V33 (Manhattan) - 580
Cat 2 - Q40, V35 (Manhattan) - 620
Cat 3- Q39, V36 - (Manhattan) - 620
Cat 4 (Official Practice) - Q45, V44 - 720
Last weekend - Q41, V34 (Manhattan) - 620
Today (Official Practice) - Q44, V47 - 750

Has anyone had a similar experience with Manhattan Prep? I'm not understanding the score differences. Could something in the wording of their questions just not be clicking with me?

In other forums I have read, people see a jump from Manhattan Prep to Official GMAT practice, but a 130 point jump?

From my experience, the Manhattan Prep mocks were pretty much accurate of my actual ability (give or take 10-30 points on the 5 practice exams that I took). Quant was in line, relative to the other comments on the grade deflation, but I think it also is the luck of the draw depending on the material you get. For instance, on some Manhattan Prep tests, I saw no rate-work problems, but then was hit with combinatorics, a weakness of mine on an Official Test.

Probably fair to say that OG mocks are the best representation of what you'll see on the actual exam.

My score on Manhattan is pathetic to day the least, but I am able to manage ~700 in OG and Expert's Global mocks!
In Manhattan, I saw 3/4 RC from science. Plus 9 questions on Number theory. The question distribution seems skewed :/
