Question by a member .............. Here is a brief overview of my profile:
- 27 year old Indian male
- Close to 5 years of work experience working in Indian IT firm
- GMAT preparation currently in progress. Expected GMAT : 595 - 645
- Have strong professional accomplishments. Despite joining company as fresher, learned the trick of the trade in a short amount of time and
have managed to build a rapport among my peers and colleagues as someone dependable, responsible and hard-working.
- Got a promotion about two years back and currently on the way to another(would have gotten already if it was not withheld because of
cost-cutting measures by company in light of COVID-19. But it is on track now)
- Thinking of appying to Candian Universities and if score permits, some US MBA programs as well
- Looking to switch career into Marketing and Sales but final decision to be taken once have exposure to other courses in MBA selected
MBA program
- Extracurricular:
Have taken part in donation raising programs as a part of company volunteering intiative. Also, during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,
volunteered to shop essential items for old people living, for whom it was extremely risky going ouside as they are the age group most
vulnerable to the disease, in my society
Hi - work ex and growth seem right on track for MBA profile; Canadian schools are great options as they are typically smaller cohorts and provide close knit environment - where rapport and relationships are highly valued. US MBA programs with similar experience and fit with score range are T20-30. If there is a specific sector/industry you are most interested in, you can find ones that have an employment report that echo this.

Depending on the years of experience, you typically are looking between Masters in Management or the MBA program.
