Profile evaluation :- 23 year Male, indian

Academic:-

Work Experience :-
Been working at an investment bank for the past 2 years
prepared pitch books to pitch clients and funds

Prepared a extensive dashboard for a value retail company with USD 100 m turnover
Co- Evaluated the performance & advised on strategic decision making of Private Equity portfolio of my employer consisting of investee companies like Value retailer, CPG, API player

Chaired and Managed a startup idea competition and the panel consisted of VC funds and investors

Professional Development head of the College Rotaract Club :- lead many workshops for my fellow college mates from renounced Motivational speakers

Major Failure :- Organised a huge MUN and failed in getting enough participation however had very robust crisis management and was able to convert half of the MUN hall for another motivational speaker event and eventually was able to just break even.
CFA and CA with strong STEM/Quant background are fantastic and will give you bonus points in review. You have experience at a bank pre-MBA, which is great, many don’t yet... Make sure to leverage these experiences and your exposure in your essays to make up for being on the younger side of the MBA bell curve. Depending on GMAT you could do well for M7/T10 in US/EU/UK

NIT B.Tech is great, GMAT bit lower, when combined with work ex, you can aim for US T20 or maybe for schools with waivers.

Profile evaluation: 24 year Female, Indian

Academic: 10th: 10 CGPA, 12th: 84.7% UG: Non engineering from Tier 1 College, 8.55 CGPA

Work Experience:
Been working as an Analyst for almost two years at one of the largest banks of the world, have worked in a risk reporting project where I had to work with stakeholders from 40+ countries. Also got recognised for my performance. 2 Internships in Product Management at an agro-tech startup and another at one of the leading hospitality startups.

GMAT: Scored 655 in the first attempt

Extra curriculars: Been an active member in several extracurricular clubs and competitions in college (mainly in Digital arts but also was a part of the literary club and dramatics club). Was the governor of the literary club in college and also the head of several design clubs. Also co-authored a paper for a national conference (did not present it though). Received an institute award for contribution to socio-cultural activities of the college.

CSR: Have been actively contributing to several CSR activities of the present firm.

Aspirations: Want to switch careers into consulting or Product management. Looking for full time MBA program in INSEAD / HEC/ NUS/ NTU, preferably with a scholarship. Also open to other top colleges in EU.

Confused about the following: Is the GMAT Score good enough to get a scholarship at dream colleges? Which specialisations/ courses would be favourable for switching into Consulting or Product Management roles? What would be a right time to apply considering that I have only 2 years of Work Experience.

Wow - a project working with 40+ international stake holders! Quality international experience that will be highly valued at schoolsl ike INSEAD, LBS, HEC (and other schools as well) - currently 655 is admissible - if you write great essays and have strong interviews, there is a good chance. If you wait one more year, you can gain adcom confidence in your ability to be in a class with peers with 5-7 years work ex.
Scholarship typically comes with higher than average GMAT scores, so another reason to give another attempt. Most programs have these tracks or specializations - PM/Marketing or Tech; consulting or any specific sector - sustainability, healthcare...

Thanks everyone for joining! if you have questions feel free to email me at [email protected] or schedule a profiel eval here - https://calendly.com/jenifert-aringo/gm ... ume-review

Strong and interesting profile! Make sure to bring out these unique experiences in your applications - MBA Adcoms will enjoy this. Strong determination and solid academics! M7 schools are tough, but you have a shot if you tell your story the right way! Go for it and think about a few back ups for R2 if needed.

Looks like you have great work experience across different industries! 10 years is right on the cusp for traditional full-time MBA programs... and Consulting. If you didn’t get into consulting, what would be your back up plan? programs are going to want reassurance that if they take a risk to admit you with higher expeirence that you will be able to get a job... MBB’s typically don’t hire over 30 - there are exceptions! and you should absolutely go for it, but maybe pitch PM as your STG as MNC’s/Tech are less age-biased. BTech CGPA seems a little lower, so aim for higher than average GMAT - 695+ would be ideal.
To avoid some of this stress, you could look at senior MBA programs that are catered to mid career candidates - RSM, Foster GEMBA, USC IBEAR
