Thanks for the feedback .

Under graduation from university of Pune .

I have lots of EC achievements on national level till my under graduation after that as pursued career switch to finance (diploma) I didn't get time for that.

I have international experience of less than 3 months in NYC. Though I have worked with clients from uk and us throughout my career as I do global energy advisory .

I just wanted to confirm whether duke, darden and ross are within the competitive category for my profile or should I replace one with mccombs ?

Sid,

You are competitive for Ross, Duke and Darden. I suggest you apply McCombs in addition to these schools. McCombs has lower position in rankings but provides good opportunities in energy sector

Hi There, I was hoping for for a profile evaluation. I've identified the following schools in the following buckets, could you provide any feedback onto if i'm on the right track or way off base?

Stretch: Harvard Stanford
Goal: Chicago, MIT, Columbia

-Went to a Top 5 public university - Majored in Business Administration with a Major GPA of 3.6
-Minored in Mandarin Chinese, which pulled my overall GPA down to 3.3.
-Did I-Banking as an analyst in NYC at one off the usual suspects
-Recruited from the bank to a small Chinese technology company to lead their U.S. operations - building the business from pre-revenue into to $10mm+ (SAAS business)
-700GMAT
-Co-founded a 501c3 charity in 2009; has had major impact on the community it serves
-Big Brother Big Sisters - Big Brother
-Will have a total of 6R WE
-White male
-Application 'story' surrounds entrepreneurship, the 'internet of things' trend, wearable tech and my time spend working for a Chinese small business

Dear Kathmandu,

You have an impressive profile. You are targeting the right schools. Stanford seems like the best fit.

If you are aiming for entrepreneurship in hi-tech (e.g. IoT) , I would recommend you to add Berkeley to the list as a safety school. Being in silicon valley during your MBA would help you build the right connections which will go a long way in your post MBA career.

Just gave my exam yesterday and got 600.
Not shocked as I was getting scores between 580 and 620 in MGMAT and GMATPrep tests.
Last GMATprep i got 670 Q50 V31.

My Experience of GMAT:
I felt that Quant was really easy and similar to GMATPrep. But verbal was tougher than GMATPrep and MGMAT tests.
SC was tricky, CR was the toughest and RC was medium. Just 1 RC was hard, rest 3 were medium.

Although I am planning to retake it in 2 months and apply in R2, but please let me know which schools are mod, ambi, etc. and other than these schools if there is any school which suits my profile and GMAT score.Below is my profile snapshot:

10th: 78%
12th: 85%
B.Tech. : 69%
5.5 years of work exp in IT company(Ranked as 14th in Fortune 500 companies list), headquartered in US.
Male Indian IT Guy
Not associated with any NGO though i run my own website for health awareness and cancer prevention and promote it through facebook.
I used to run my own website and I am an ethical Hacker and used to run my own website for ethical hacking but its closed now. not sure if it will help me or not.
My Target schools are Schulich, University of Illinois Urbana Champaghne, Carlson, Fordham, UIC and Depaul.

Thanks.
