I work for Pump manufacturing company, Headquarter in Switzerland. I started my career with this company as tendering Engineer for Oil and Gas sector and worked for it for 3 years in India. Then moved to UAE for the same company to handle Middle East Business but for Industry and Water sector. Worked as Tendering Engineer for 3 years with same sector. Now working as Sales and Tendering Engineer for last 3 years. Currently I am handling 3-4 Middle East Country businesses.

Extra curriculum activities:
I am part of Smart Life Foundation (NGO) from 2018. I was part of their reading program. I used to go the UAE Labor Camps to teach English to the Blue-collar workers. Due to Pandemic, this reading program is on halt. But waiting to join this again.
I am certified Yoga teacher. I am teaching Yoga in our office for last 3 years. I usually take free seminars upon request. Recently I took virtual Yoga workshop for female labor camp.

You have a very solid gpa and if you hit your target gmat you will be in good stead. your work experience is strong and varied which will sell well. I like the extra curriculars too. the one issue that you may face is that you are on the older end of a full time MBA program. You might want to also consider EMBA programs for which I think you would be quite competitive.

35 yrs old with 10 years of experience in public sector( senior position in police department in Bangladesh) and 770 GMAT, got admitted this year into USC Marshall with 100k scholarships, will it be wise to apply for M7 next year? Will it be possible to get scholarships from M7 next year ?

Good, interesting background. Great GMAT score. M7 will be tougher given your age. (YOu will have to explain why you want an MBA at your age and what you hope to do with it). Scholarships are available at the M7 schools, but they are very competitive and I wouldn’t count on getting one. I think the Marshall offer sounds good to me.

I think you need to work on your international experience for the future, because schools will definitely ask about that.

Hey everyone,

I know this is the GMAT club, but I am applying to business school using the GRE and was hoping I could ask a question anyway. I posted this elsewhere but was told it would be helpful to post it on the specific admissions consultant pages. For information I am hoping to apply to schools that have average GRE scores in their class profile of 161/161 to 163/163 (I am applying to Stanford as well but the 165/165 average is really high). I have two GRE scores one is a quant 163 and verbal 164 and the other is quant 162 and verbal 169. I know schools care more about the quant side so the 163 looks better than the 162. But the 169 verbal is a lot higher than 164. So I’m wondering if I should report both scores (that way schools can at least see the 163 and 169 even if they don’t consider them together) or if I should just report one score? If you think I should just report one score, what do you recommend?

Also does my GRE writing score matter? I got a 5 out of 6 on the first GRE (163 quant 164 verbal) but haven’t received my writing score for the newer test (162 quant 169 verbal). If the new test is a 4 or below writing does that matter?

Thank you for all the help. And just so you know even though I took the GRE the GMAT club has been very helpful.

I would send both scores. that will show strength in both areas. I wouldn’t worry too much about the writing score. Schools don’t focus too much on that.

Engineering graduate with 70%. From a family of farmers and first in the family to go to college.
10 Years of IT experience. Running a small nursery in my village with all women employees.
GMAT score of 740 but AWA is 1 (Couldn’t complete it because of some situation at home and submitted after writing 2 lines)
Short term goal is to get into a Product Management role and in a long term i want to launch my agri-tech business. Please advise if i can apply to schools with this score and my profile.

Thanks for your question. 720 gmat will be in the ballpark for the schools you list. PhD programs will be most interested in your academic preparation and ability. Your professional experience will not be as important. It is also important to make sure you have some knowledge of the faculty and their work areas and that it aligns with your own goals.
