[quote= "Magdalena1609"][quote= "LoveWildLife"]Guys, I understand similar question has been asked before but I just need a bit of reassurance.
I submitted my application with GMAT scores. I took two GMAT tests in 3 days - one was taken in the test center, the other was online. I took two tests within a short time because in the first test, my verbal score fell off the cliff unexpectedly, whereas my Quant score was satisfactory. And in the second test, my verbal score improved alot and went back to normal level while my Quant score dropped by 7 points. I alerted AO on inconsistent performances before I submitted the application and asked them whether I should postpone the application until I had a better and more balanced score. She replied they would review my application as a whole and would ask me to retake if necessary. Nonetheless, I told them I would retake this month. As of now, I have not received ANY notice that they want me to retake GMAT.
If I am not able to achieve a better score this time, would I be waitlisted or rejected after the interviews because of the score? Or at this stage, they have confirmed that they are fine with it and now I just need to focus on nailing the interviews?
Thanks!!

Hey, similar situation here ... retaking gmat on 13 aug, first interview tomorrow. What if I get a score below the one I had initially submitted? I have added a note to my application I intend to retake on 13/08...??♀️ I guess I have to let them know my new score regardless as it would look bad otherwise especially if they had noted it down...they haven't officially requested an improved score, I just got the email about being invited to interviews.
Hey, Good luck with the test!
I mentioned retaking the test on email and in my optional essay separately:
In the email, I said I would retake the test within August;
in the optional essay, I mentioned"
If required, I will retake the test to become more competitive for consideration."
My concern is the low overall scores of both tests I took. However, if they take the highest score in each of these two tests, Q49 in the 1st test and V38 in the 2nd test, that is a combined GMAT score of 710-720. I made a significant improvement in the verbal section in just two days, and my quant performance was not satisfactory in the second test mainly because of my unfamiliarity with the online whiteboard.
My job is quant focused (investment banking) but my undergrad is pretty light on quant.
I am going to retake the test definitely but as you are, I m also concerned whether I would be able to get an improved score before they release the final decision.
I got an admit from another school and need to reply in 28 days. Even though my top choice is still INSEAD, I can't take the risk of waiting for a miracle after being waitlisted.
I understand the interview is also an extremely important element, so I really want to put all my energy and effort into interview preparation now.
