Hi guys,
I would like to have some insights.
Is international exposure mandatory for insead?
I mean one can get into insead without international exposure right?
Hi @Nikhil97,
I wouldn't say mandatory but at least some degree of international exposure is needed to get accepted to INSEAD.
Most students in the INSEAD class have international experience studying, working, or simply living outside their home countries. Some others may not have these types of experiences but have had international exposure at work through biz trips, working with international teams, clients... Even travels for leisure could also count as international exposure.
Someone with none of the above usually has a hard time getting accepted to INSEAD, more so, coming from an over-represented nationality. Just to put an example, an Indian with extensive international experience and 710 GMAT score would probably be given preference over an Indian with zero international exposure and a 780 GMAT score (everything else being equal, of course).
I hope this helps.
Warm regards
Alex
