Our goal for interviewed applicants is to render a final decision within two weeks of the interview report being completed. It is our goal that all reviews are within these timelines. I just refreshed my application and saw a link to "Search for An Interviewer." No email yet. Columbia seems to use the same platform as Wharton and I remember there being some lag between the decision going live in the app and the email going out. Best of luck to all the patient RDers still waiting (and those with interview invites in the bag as well of course).

Now that folks are getting invites, I really wish I had submitted my app sooner The wait is too much!!!!!!

My app was complete on 10/5. Logged in again and nearly had a heart attack. My Search for Interview link went away with a link to "An update to my profile". My paranoid brain thought maybe they retracted their invite or something. Turns out it was just a list of interviewers in my area which was the second step of the scheduling process (living in NYC means it's pretty easy to find CBS alumni so I'm not surprised it went so quickly). Still no email from CBS so I guess there is quite a bit of lag when it comes to that. Regarding the 4.0, yea I wasn't thrilled, but thankfully(?) it was in my freshman year and wasn't in my major. If I got it later in my career I would have been more bummed.

hmm... I submitted on 9/25 and have not heard anything from cbs... assuming cbs updates applicant's interview status on a rolling basis, I guess not so lucky for me... but congrats to those who received invite!! good luck!

I am before you and haven't either, but to be honest my guess it is rolling basis on read, not necessarily invite. Like if you are a mega hunk with a 750 and 3.99, then it is a no-brainer. Where as you and I may need a bit of longer read, but potentially ours was read or being read before his. They probably just marinate on the no-brainers a bit longer. At least I hope.

Columbia has atleast 2 readers per application. If the 1st reader wants to invite you, the second reader will most probably not come in the picture and you will end up getting the invite as soon as possible but if the 1st one passes on the invite, the second interviewer can still invite you for an interview. So if you do not get to hear about an invite as per the date of your completion, it might be that your 1st reviewer did not consider your application strong enough for the first round of review.

I wouldn't read too much into this. I'm assuming a lot of RDers applied before me as I only submitted 2 days before the deadline. I don't think CBS operates strictly on a first-in-first-out basis. I may have just been at the top of the pile. I can only speculate, but I'd have to think that there are a lot more RD invites coming over the next few days, including to those who submitted their materials before me.
