My application was complete on October 19th (submitted and one recommendation in on October 8th, with final recommendation in on the 19th) and I haven't heard anything yet, either. Fingers crossed!

They did say that they begin to review in order of submission, but that each app takes different amounts of time to review, which is why sometimes people who applied later on get an invite first.
Yea the order of review felt like the biggest learning, that apps are truly reviewed in the order they were received. Glad I submitted the day before the deadline, I bet no one else thought of doing that...

I submitted the day before the deadline too. So we are in agreement that I am the only one that thought of doing that.

They still move through the applications quickly. I have a friend who applied in the first week of December last year and was accepted by the end of the month. There are also similar stories on last year's thread. As long as you apply before January you should hear soon, I think. Keep the faith!
