Depends on cycle, cycles with lower yield will have higher chance of getting off waitlist. Last year they admitted 1300 and only 800 enrolled. So a bunch of kids got off the waitlist

Is Duke considered in the T10, or just outside?

I can see back in the day duke used to be 8/9 for a long time, but recently dipped to 12

Similar to Tuck, both dropping as Yale (rose) and Ross (re-rose)

Their most famous Alumni is obviously Tim Apple (lol)

Honestly, it doesn’t matter. May be till the time you graduate it gets back to old rankings. This year Columbia university for undergraduate ranking dropped from 2 to 18th.
So, what really matters is not the rankings.

obviously, i meant more in terms of how rankings go with employer reputations

is Duke still seen in that M7+3 group, or are they seen as a more super-regional player like Stern/Darden

Super as in good in a big region, but not internationally for example

So check which school is better suited for the role/function and location for you.
Check ROI and how what kind of professional network you expect. As per what I know duke has tire knit community while Columbia has huge network.
Therefore, I believe not every school is best suited for everyone.

My interview with Columbia is scheduled for tomorrow. Unfortunately the interviewer hasn't yet confirmed a location and hasn't replied to my follow-up mails. Is it too late to cancel the match? Will it reflect poorly on my application if I cancel the match on the portal only a few hours before the interview slot?

I got off the waitlist this year. Adcom called me one week after I got waitlisted to clear out a couple of questions about my profile and story telling (why CBS, why now, future plans, etc). After 4-5 days they called me again to tell me I was admitted

I don't think I'm representative of all waitlisted applicants, but hope my story helps you. I know the feeling of being where you are!

I took my first EA Official Mock and scored 145 and tips on how to increase the score to a 155-160.

Keep in mind that the IR weighs quite a bit in the EA so make sure you take your time. Just like how you would keep track of your time for the GMAT make sure you do that for the different splits. I recommend allocating a little bit more time for the second halves.

Hi mate! I would suggest that pace yourself calmly. Don't rush in these sections. Work on your IR as it weighs quite heavily here. Watch videos from Gmat ninja and don't do anything else. They are more than enough for the prep and really helpful. The latest series is on youtube. I prepared hard for the Gmat but could never do well but the extensive prep for GMAT helped me crack EA. So yes, be calm, prepare from Gmat ninja and focus on IR!
