Hi,

Can anyone comment on this please if they have spoken to someone in the admissions team about this:

The professional stories that I have mentioned in the essays have been from my past roles mainly because I spent a lot of time in that role. But I am having my recommendation written by my current supervisor who won’t be attesting to those examples. Is it fine or shoudl I get my recommendations written by my previous supervisor?
Your essay stories and LOR stories have to be different anyway, coz if they overlap then its a kind of red flag that you might have written the LOR and given to your recommender!

Yeah got it. Thanks. But I was thinking that there are some high value projects that the recommender definitely writes about. I just thought if there is a overlap, its just an added confirmation about that story. Story overlap doesnt mean that I have written for my recommender.

My recommender has still not received the mail for filling the LoR...Has anyone else faced similar issues? How was this resolved?
I’m facing the same issue!

My first recommender was able to successfully submit, but my second can’t seem to find the email :/

Guys, the application form calls out that our undergrad transcript should state that the medium of instruction was English. However, it is not written in my transcript despite it being the case. What do you guys suggest?

It’ll be okay
You can ask your university to send a letter along the transcripts. They do that

Letter will state that medium of instruction was English

International Applicants - any idea how to answer the following questions on Johnson's application?
1. "If offered admission to Johnson, will you require an F-1 student visa from Cornell?"
2. "If offered admission, can you or a sponsor provide documentation for liquid assets equal to or greater than the annual cost of attendance?"

I am from India. I will need F1 visa. So I should answer "Yes" right? The 'from Cornell' part of the question is throwing me off.
Will the answer to the second question affect the chances of admission?

yes, universities issue such letters. Try contacting the registrar’s office

You will have to show liquid assets in next year around March- April to receive i20 from school.

Till that time, you’ll get to know how much you need basically. Balance can be loaned

So I can answer "No" here right? Or is an anticipated loan amount included and I should answer "Yes" ? Sorry but didn’t get the time to become familiar with the visa process
