Admit in R2 as well!
Anyone know how strong Duke's consulting placement is for Europe and Asia (HK/Shanghai/Spore)?

re scholarship, I didn get a call from adcom :( So i guess im not getting anything.....called adcom, they told me admission packet will contain information about scholarship- if you received scholarship.
Not familiar with full-time placement, but there are quite a few people going to international office both M/B/B and other consulting companies in Singapore, Bangkok, HK, London, Moscow offices. I don't know anyone going to the Shanghai office.

Do you know how much legwork students had to put in to get these placements? Im guessing McKinsey campus recruiters will probably recruit for ATL office, maybe some for DC, Chicago and NYC as well...how helpful was the career office in securing students international opportunities?
I understand Duke has some centers in London/Russia/India etc (as part of their global footprint initiative), are these career placements centers that help with internship/full-time placements, or something else?

I didn't do consulting recruiting, but I believe that when the companies come on campus to recruit they recruit for all the offices, including international. Those people who got international offices got them through on campus recruiting. Although, I believe the second round interview schedules and location are different for international offices.

Did any of my fellow Rd3 Interview invitees receive the email to schedule their interviews today? My interview email says that we were supposed to receive an email today (Apr 4) by 5pm EST in order to schedule our interviews. I did not get this email. I believe the Fuqua offices open at 830am, my call will go in at approx. 831am.

Hi everyone,

I applied during R2 and found out a week and a half ago that I am on the waitlist. Stats are as follows:

- GMAT: 710
- GPA: 3.64
- Had my interview in February
- Worked in advertising for the last 8 years

Anyone know what the chances are of moving off the waitlist?

The email was sent out today. For some reason, although it was sent before Noon EST, the timestamp on the email is 4:10 p.m. EST. Hence, my email account tagged the email as spam and sent it straight to my Spam folder.

The only thing that the email states is that the Interview Team Captain for my location will be contacting me to schedule my interview within a week from receiving the email. I was expecting to get more information, but that's it.

I assume you're not interviewing in Durham? I think the email is different if you're doing it on campus.

I assume you're not interviewing in Durham? I think the email is different if you're doing it on campus.

Yes, I'm interviewing off campus. I initially chose New York as my preferred interview location because I thought I would be busy traveling for work around this time of the year, so I figured I would rather have my interview closer to home. However, as it turns out, I miscalculated my calendar. And so, now I'm hoping that they would let me go to Durham for the interview. I sent them an email to inquire as to whether I could do it on campus instead, so I'm waiting to hear back on that.

Guys, I'm trying to decide between Carnegie Mellon (40% of $) and Duke (no scholarship so far). And of course decide between Pittsburgh and Durham. I'm leaned towards Duke but haven't decided yet. Any suggestions to me? :)

Ended up getting the email this morning at about 5am. Was anyone else able to schedule an interview for this Friday or Saturday? The first date available for me was Monday, Apr. 11th.

You can actually email the admissions office if you'd like to change your location to Durham. I would recommend this, too... you'll definitely get a better idea of the Fuqua culture, which could help in an interview.

Hello All :)

Long time lurker/ first time poster!
So Thrilled to be part of the Fuqua Class of 2013.

I am 24/F/Indian and wondering if anyone is looking for a roommate next year.

I was initially planning on a 1-bedroom (since my husband will be visiting about once a month from NYC) but Station 9 seems to be the place to go and a 1-bed is way overpriced.

I am fairly neat, non-smoking, have no pets and if you like Indian food - I can cook!
Like I mentioned before, my husband -who is a student in the NYC area, will visit once a month (for 3-4 days).

Do let me know :)

You should post this question on the Class of 2013 FB page. You'll probably have more luck finding someone and your inquiry won't be slightly less public.
