My "To Do list" is complete barring one item: interview. Do I have to initiate an interview or wait for the Ad Com? (As far as I can remember they had an option for self-initiated interviews before 2/1).

You are right vicksikand. As per their website, the interview is self-initiated before Feb. You can call them and confirm. But I believe, you should hear back from them soon.

Had my interview today. There was a goof-up by the hotel where I was to meet her, so I ended up meeting her nearly 40 minutes late, which I don't think would be a point in my favour by any means.

The rest of it was quite good, very general, but I'm really not happy about the start!

I submitted my materials on Dec. 1, but Emory had some difficulties in processing one of my letters of recommendation, so I didn't have a technically complete packet until January 19th. I received a decision on January 26th, so I think it is safe to say that the estimated time frame that they give you of 4-8 weeks is probably accurate.

I interviewed on a Super Saturday a few days after I submitted my app, so it includes having already interviewed with the school.

I submitted last night, and my online application indicates as much, but I never got a confirmation of submission or anything, nor an email about logging in to check my status and To Do List.

They mention a 5 day period - does that refer to the initial confirmation?

Just feels weird to get no acknowledgement.

I got an email(this morning) from the ad com confirming that my application was complete and that it is going to start reviewing my file. The email said it will take 4-8 weeks to make a decision;however, it did not mention anything about the interview. Any insight on how their interview process works.

I had the same experience. Within a few days (I don't remember if it was the full 5 days), you will get an email from Emory with a username and password to log on to OPUS. OPUS is the system where you check your application status for completion.

I just checked OPUS and my decision letter came in - Accepted! I don't know whether I'll be able attend because of the cost differential between my other local option, but I am nonetheless super excited!
