Hello Everyone,

I had a question about sending transcripts. I understand that we need to mail them in sealed envelopes to Emory, but what do i write on the envelope ? Do I write on top on envelope " Transcript for mackd Candidate R2 2011 class" or something ? Or do they read transcripts figure out the name of candidate and then check in their "OPUS" if there is any student by that name ?

I just sent them in one envelope in the envelopes they came in, no letter. They have been received by Emory.

ok, got email from emory about a "missing piece" to my application which is the non-required interview but I do want to do it but dont think i have the days off to pull it off on campus. The off-campus tour is almost done and nothing is close to me... Is it good to do the phone/web interview???

In general, having an interview will serve you better than not having one. One thing I've learned while at Goizueta is that if you want something badly enough, you'll do whatever you need to do to put yourself in a situation to get it (be it taking a flight somewhere, or just rearranging your schedule to accommodate a phone call). A phone interview won't hurt you, but if you make the effort to see them in person and have a good interview, it almost certainly will help (especially if they know how much effort you're putting into it). If you're in the country, I think it's a good idea to have the interview in person.

I am a first time poster to GMAT Club. I checked my "OPUS" page this morning and received my acceptance confirmation. I couldn't be more excited. I was accepted into the One-Year and Two-Year Programs so I am mulling which one to potentially enter. Perhaps Goizueta sent out a batch of acceptances today so hopefully more people received some good news! Best of luck, everybody.

I am a first-time poster as well. I was perusing the Goizueta website this morning to check my status and was also notified that I was accepted for both MBA programs. To put my timeline in context, I completed my interview two weeks ago.

ok. thanks. Called Pam and here is some info:

1. Process is rolling - so once your OPUS goes complete (or you receive app complete email) your app will be on the review queue and you will know the status within 4 weeks.
2. Interview is optional. Campus interview welcome BUT phone interviews are INVITE ONLY so you cant self initiate that. If they feel you need interview they will tell you during the application review process - so basically if you are not coming to campus you are "all set"
3. you may see "interview" on the admission to do list - she said everybody has it and it doesnt reflect upon your application's completeness...

Yes, I interviewed at an MBA fair about 6 weeks ago. I turned in my application about a month ago and visited Goizueta a couple weeks back.

yes they want your official transcripts cause I received an email about them needing those before review app... so might as well send it now or you will get that email....

Other schools are there yeap. But I was banking on Emory as a reach (stupid me) so other schools are a bit higher on the rank/reputation scale. Almost dinged from 2 other schools (intv date has expired). So my R2 strategy?: Just erased the current R2 schools list. Need to remake the list again :(

@Rajnikanth: From the place where I come, that name is very famous :) And no, I wasn't interviewed which makes this ding all the more bitter.
