I remember hearing in one of their webinars 'if you got a , say 680, which is towards the middle of our 80% range , you don't have to take the GMAT again ...' , but that was after I wrote another GMAT to go from 680 to 700

I am still in a shock. I never put so much effort in a long time, so kinda very happy. I was worried because of my 680 GMAT score, but it clearly shows that GMAT is only one of the criteria.
Haha. So many Haas alumni and current students told me that I have a very very strong profile, but I didn't want to believe them. ha
BTW I am an Indian Software engineer from the bay area (so typical).
