Not yet, but they updated the notes section last night asking me to submit my undergraduate degree certificate since I got my degree in India.

WLed..Got an email few mins ago..

Disappointing, however, one promising sentence in the email is "Please be assured that only a select group of applicants are offered a place on the waitlist"....

Now, the drama continues....

Looking the stat reported by Naren and comparing it to previous year, it seems like the number of applicants is smaller this time around . Did anyone else get that feeling?

Being on the WL is good. Only 10-20 students usually get through in the 1st round and majority are WLed. So take this positively.

You can do a lot while on the waitlist. Attending info sessions and meeting the members of admissions will help. Providing any other updates to your resume(specially) projects may help as well.

You will get a chance to submit another letter of recommendation(i guess). So a lot can be done while on WL. So congrats and keep working towards your goal.

Can you point me to data that backs this up, and/or can someone else on this thread confirm? I'm curious to know if this is really true. If so, you are making me feel very special right now. :-)

I wouldn't be surprised if that's true. They recieve 700-800 applications per year. Perhaps only 100-150 apply in round 1? Acceptance rate is 33%, and considering that most of the 1st round candidates are waitlisted, 10-20 sounds reasonable.
Also, I called the admissions office and the person who answered, didn't ask my name (Indian) twice which never happened before, so the list has to be pretty short. :-)

All the best to R2 applicants who will have their interview this week. From previous posts, it looks like there's a bunch of us who are scheduled for tomorrow, 2/8. Hope you do well - Cheers!

Also, let's try to share our interview experience for the other applicants. Thanks! :)

Hey Matt--not sure of how indicative these gmatclub stats are of true application volume. You're right, last year's thread was more active and had a larger data pool. I doubt this has much (if any) correlation to the actual numbers adcom is seeing.

That said, we can make this a more active thread going forward. I was accepted in R1 and would be happy to help. 8-)

Hi all,

Accepted R1 and will be taking the offer. Excited for this next step!

*To those going through the process: please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help.

*To those accepted: do we have an accepted students thread going? Anyone commuting from SoCal/Los Angeles?

Hi gnahc and matt45220!

Great observation & suggestion. I was just asked to be a threadmaster & my profile was updated today. I'll read more on how to improve our thread and make it more informative for current and future applicants. Also, I'll create 2 more threads for waitlisted and admitted students.

It would be nice if we all could help each other by actively participating:
1 - To make our Applicant Summary reflect more accurate and up-to-date data, please update your applicant profile status (i.e., status, interview invites, decisions...)
2 - Share experiences such as interview, class visits, events

Lastly, if anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to send me a PM. Thanks everyone! :-D
