hello everyone i have 760 gmat/5 year work experience/but academic score 10+12+ug is not good.planning to applying r2 is it any chance i got invition?
Hi suraj2204, You have an excellent GMAT score, which can help compensate for your low GPA. I assume your 5 years of work experience can provide examples of your leadership skills, impact, and others. Here are a few major characteristics that Harvard looks for in applicants:

1) Growth & Potential
2) Intrest and Activities
3) Contribution to the Harvard community

You must include the points above in your application. If you want to know more about scholarships, essays, etc., you may read in detail about Harvard business school here. Overall, it’s crucial for us to know more about your profile to gauge your chances at Harvard. We are happy to connect you with our Profile Experts (who are alums and students of top B-Schools) who will discuss your profile at length in a 30-45 minutes FREE call and provide you with feedback based on your aspirations and goals. Feel free to schedule a call with them here for in-depth profile evaluation (and some networking on the side!)

Cheers!

Can I apply for the application fee waiver before taking the GMAT? I will be taking the exam pretty close to the application deadline. Apart from the GMAT, I have already completed the rest of the application though

You need to have a valid GMAT score & TOEFL score inorder to apply for a fee waiver. I have spoken to the adcom of HBS and this is their reply. While you fill up the application, there is an option for a fee waiver and you there you are required to upload your MBA resume with the valid scores. Self reported scores however official scores need to be sent latrr.

You can apply for the app fee waiver after starting your application. Official scores are good to have but not a must. I requested and received a fee waiver 3 weeks back, and gave GRE last Saturday. However, I added my polished MBA resume and test date.

Hey,

Congratulations on a stellar GMAT score. Also 6 years of work experience as a Merchant Navy officer sounds amazing. I’m sure you have enough stories to share from your work experience to make your essays stand out! However, in order to evaluate your profile better, we would need some details regarding your ECs, post-MBA goals and your work profile.

Hence, If you’d like, we are happy to connect you with our Profile Experts (who are alums and students of top B-Schools) who will discuss your profile at length in a 30-45 minutes call and provide you with feedback based on your aspirations and goals. Feel free to schedule a call with us here for in-depth profile evaluation (and some networking on the side!)

Let’s discuss how to write admit winning essays for MBA applications

Cheers!

Is HBS worth trying for in R2? Worried about the avalanche of FANGG applicants which may hit in Round 2. Hoping they’re too late for this year, but if they have a GMAT, they might get in on time.

*FAANG

The majority of applications (and therefore admits) come in R2. A strong applicant will always have a shot in R2 (that's not the same as saying it will be a slam dunk).

For schools like HBS, differentiating yourself is the most critical part of the admissions process. I am running a free webinar about this on Friday.

If you are applying in Round 2 and you want to make sure you don’t take any wrong forks in the road to creating your MBA story.

If you struggle to be sure what exactly goes into a winning MBA story and what can make YOU be that unique MBA candidate that gets admitted.

If you are an overrepresented candidate and it is critically important that you stand out within a pool of candidates that have the same statistics as you.

Then you can't afford to miss the free MBA Story Spotlight this Friday.

A former Dean of MBA Admissions, I’ve been part of graduate management education for more than a decade. I’ve been the head of an MBA adcom and the strategist who has helped MBA candidates get admitted to every top MBA program.

This brand new, fresh spotlight is a culmination of everything I have learned in the rapidly shifting landscape of MBA admission to the most selective business schools.

If you’re committed to making this year the year you get admitted to a top MBA program, I can’t wait to slash that learning curve and help you get there faster and easier.

Secure your spot now.

Don't think so, but 12:00 pm ET seems to be the standard for HBS based on all previous deadlines

Do you know when that might typically start working? I think based on previous years seems like on the day of decisions (few hours before actual decisions come out)?
