Surprisingly, there were no updates to my application on Thanksgiving.

How's everybody doing? I'm mentally preparing myself for whatever comes next week.

I am rooting wholeheartedly for you guys! I can't wait to see who gets the good news. You're a very talented group, I'm sure those who don't make it to HBS will have other amazing opportunities.

I'm thrilled to still be under consideration....but if you think the few weeks of waiting is bad, try having to sit around until February!!!!

To any fellow R1 folks who are waiting anxiously for the 10th -- I bet you would do anything to pass the time. One thing I've gotten fascinated with in the last few weeks is the Myers Briggs test. It's very interesting to me to think about the theory and how it applies to interpersonal dynamics, as well as individual strengths and weaknesses and leadership style. I used 16personalities (easily google-able) which seemed pretty high-content and fast to take (12 minutes).

Have any of you taken it? What was your result? I would put big money on there being a lot of ENTJs in here...

Also, good luck to all of you R2 applicants working hard out there!

Matching your results to star wars characters makes it slightly more fun. I got Darth Vader when I took it earlier this year haha

I am an INTJ as well!!! Interesting... I suppose a lot of the characteristics of INTJ's are the same as Type A personalities.

True that. I guess I'm supposed to be a "patient visionary."

I am not patient...at all...right now.

Anybody do the personality test that assigns you a boat? It's all the rage in the Army right now.

I'm a barge, with sail boat tendencies. So much more fun than the INTJ visionary stuff, haha.

Assigns you to a Boat? That seems interesting. Do you know where we can find that?

And I'm an ENTP. I was definitely picturing MBA-hopefuls would skew away from the norms, seems like there are some trends already - like xNTJ is pretty well represented. It also seems that most are an N rather than S.

INTP here, though the 'P' does wobble back and forth, depending on the test. Looks like introverts are (unsuprisingly) a minority among applicants.

Find out your boat: https://www.reallifemanagement.com/surve ... EPORT-HTPN

I'm not sure if you have to sign up, to be honest. I got the little survey at a retreat my brigade commander ran. I remain a bit skeptical, but at least the Army is starting to come around to personality surveys. This one seems like an easy to use tool that will help our leaders better understand their Soldiers, even if it's not the latest and greatest thing out there.
