Thank you very much for your response...I’ve not got any promotions yet, I am to be in April’24...though I do have exceptional performance ratings. I wanted to understand if waiting a year makes any considerable difference? And if I decide to do it this year, and manage to get into a good school, do you happen to know if I would have problems during job placements? As in do limited companies prefer low ex profiles(for jobs)?

What are your goals post-MBA? Generally, consulting companies prefer the younger candidates, especially ones w/ consulting experience, as they are more "coachable" and can be placed on generalist projects. For other general management roles, the less experience can be a challenge.
