Hi,
I'll keep this brief. The average GMAT at HKUST is 670 to 680, give or take. Most of the South Asians here typically have scores higher than the average. That being said, HKUST is one of the few schools that gives credit to your experience (the company you worked for, the quality of work experience, anything that differentiates you professionally etc) more than other B-Schools (in Asia and US). Moreover, there are atleast two South Asians (of 14 people in this year's intake) who have GMAT scores lower than the Average GMAT.
I can't comment on your profile, I am not an expert nor am I in a position to do so. But if you feel you have a strong candidature (other than your GMAT), then I would encourage you to apply.
Cheers!!
