I was asked to book a slot,but I was not able to select any date. I mailed them regarding this issue and they said sorry for the system error. The interview schedule is not prepared yet. Don't know what this means ?

I would like to find out from you...

1) How was student life? I come from a diverse university and it was easy to socialize with people from everywhere. The reason I asked is that I have spoken to another alumni from a different B-school in HK, and she told me the class itself was almost automatically segregated by the students themselves where students from HK were in one group, China in another, then US/Europe, India, and Minority...is that less prevalent at HKUST? This applies to both project groups and social groups.

2) Where are you now in your career and how did the program changed you as an employee (Soft skills/Technical skills)?

3) Were the recruiting and career services really useful in getting you that interview?

It happens in HKUST as well as other schools but it varies by batch. However, this shouldn't be a challenge to socialize as everyone gets to know his or her class mates in the first few month sof the program.

2) Where are you now in your career and how did the program changed you as an employee (Soft skills/Technical skills)?

I moved from consulting to banking and the mba definitely helped in my career switch. I did not have any prior finance experience, so the course electives really helped me understand about finance and ibanking industry.

3) Were the recruiting and career services really useful in getting you that interview?

I did get help from career services, especially in building my cv, cover letter and interview prep for internships.

It'll be less of an official interview and more of a discussion with a student on why u want to do an mba and why specifically from hkust. Also how will u use the mba to achieve your career objectives, your knowledge about asia and china.

I gave my interview on Dec 9th. It questions were very standard. Why Hong kong, Why HKUST, Career goal, Be prepare to face some cross-questions on your goal, How MBA will help you to achieve your goal, example of leadership etc.

I received a an admit Yesterday. :) :) official letter is coming next month.
