Hey there, I submitted my application last week too but no invitation for interview yet.

Did you receive the R1 interview via email? I am curious to know cause I didn't receive any confirmation after I submitted my application. Also, do you mind to share what's your background?

For anyone curious, I received my round 1 interview invitation today. Would love to hear from others.

I received the invitation by email on Monday morning, Shanghai time. They proposed a time and requested that I confirm within twenty four hours. My impression is that first round interviews will be ongoing throughout next week. By the way, I also did not receive any system generated confirmation of receiving my online application.

I am a Caucasian expatriate living and working in China for a number of years already. How about yourself?

I thought I would add my input to this thread.

I also applied for round 1. I submitted my application about a month ago and found admissions very helpful throughout the process.

On the 8th November I received the invite for a Skype interview, via email, and the interview date is approaching soon. Wish me luck!

Hi Cdyshanghai,

Actually, it would not be correct to assume I was based in Wuhan! But I used to be, for a year, and the name kinda stuck. Now I am in sunny Australia (which is actually pouring with rain right now).

I am pretty focused on doing my MBA in China so I am only applying to schools in China and completed all my applications about a month ago. I was originally planning on applying last year, but for personal reasons I had to delay for a year.

I attended my interview on Friday afternoon. It was a relaxed and informal session, in total just under 25 minutes. The questions I fielded were straight forward: give a self-introduction, explain a bit about the future of my industry, why CEIBS/why full-time MBA, where else have you applied and how do you plan to pay for the program. Both interviewers were professional and did not provide much feedback. I was given an opportunity to ask questions, but I did not have anything in specific that I needed to address.

I spoke at length with the candidate who interviewed immediately before me and his experience was similar. Hope it turns out well!

I interviewed via Skype and had a similar experience to cdyshanghai, except my interview was a bit longer - probably because I asked a fair few questions. They seemed to ask mainly behavioral questions (how would you react in this situation, what would you do differently next time, etc). I found them very professional and fairly interested. Overall it gave me a positive impression and I felt I did quite well.

I haven't heard back from them yet though, so who knows how it really went!
