Decent Chances of shortlist. For A, final selection will depend mostly on your extempore performance. You have a shot at all the mentioned colleges as you should get shortlist in most. It will now depend on how you perform in the next stage, on whether you will convert or not.

Hey everyone, Requesting a profile evaluation

10th (2015) - 88.20%
12th (2017) - 77.08%
B.E (Computer Engineering 2017-2021) - 9.09 CGPA (top 10% of the class)
GMAT FE - 635

*Work-ex:*
Currently, Product Manager at Finvu AA, India’s second largest Account Aggregator (July 2021 - present)
* Leading growth initiatives by identifying and helping build product differentiators right from ideation to GTM.
* Working directly with the CEO to figure out ways to increase market share from currently 20% to 30%.
* Apart from all of this, the usual PM activities.

Previously, Associate Engineer at Deutsche Bank (July 2021 - July 2025):
- 2 promotions in a span of 3 years
- Led a team of 7 engineers to design & implement DB’s in-house regulatory reporting product.
- Won multiple awards and accolades for the project I worked on as well as for leading a global committee’s "India Chapter" that gives junior employees within the bank an opportunity to learn and network

Co-founder and Head of Product at Projectivity (Sept 2023 - Feb 2025 [In parallel to Deutsche Bank]):
- Spearheaded the ideation, prototyping, MVP development and launch of a B2B SAAS platform that helps streamline backend operations of the Entertainment and Media Industry targeting a $2.5Bn market
- Onboarded initial set of early adopters/users. Eventually, had to shut down due to scalability issues

Extra Curriculars:
- I create podcasts with CXOs discussing their journey.
- Blogs/Posts on Tech, finance, etc.
- I used to teach students in Masoom Foundation who had flunked their 10th board exams previously.
- I have won numerous awards in corporate and college.

What are my chances?

Given that average GMAT of IIMA cohort is 642, you most likely will get a shortlist. You have a good profile and that should help in shortlist. Beyond that, your extempore and interview performance matters. So prepare well for them. Best Wishes.

A question for the consultants / members - How do the GMAT sectional scores matter in the application process? Is only the overall score taken into consideration, or decisions are made based on sectional cutoff as well?

I think it’s just the overall score... there are different profiles in different strengths and if you can eeek out the points heck why not

has it been the case earlier that the IIM A has contacted the manager whom we are reporting to?
I can see a section where I need to fill the contact detail of my manager.
