ofcourse it is ok to take exam by 07th Sept. if you feel ready.

But I think you are looking for validation than suggestion because you seem to have it all planned already. 😀

You don’t need to do anything extra for application of IIM A. Just fill form with gmat score.

you just get 3 days to write essays which may have different versions for different applicants.

GMAT is below average but experience might save you on it...

I am sure that you will get interview call. So be ready to write good essay response and do well in interview...

I would appreciate a quick profile evaluation as I have a doubt whether I can make it to IIM A or not, please help with the same. Also, let me know what can I do to stand out and what GMAT score should I aim.

> General Engineer Male
> B.E. Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University (Tier 3 college) - CGPA 7.29/10
> Diploma in Engineering (Tier 3 college) - 70.65%
> 10th - 79%

> Overall experience of 4 years and 8 months
> Previously worked in 2 small cap manufacturing companies and currently working in JSW Steel as an Assistant Manager since last 2 yrs.
> Experience in departments like Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Quality Control in product and project quality.
> Gained a strong exposure to manufacturing operations, Process Improvements.
> Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
> Led a few cost saving initiatives.
> Volunteering experience during cultural fests, technical fests in college.

Since you have low experience in comparison to average experience at IIM A so you should try to compensate it with higher GMAT like 675

For lower scores than suggested, your chances will reduce sugnificantly ...

I think you should instead aim for ISB. You may have better chances there
