Hi guys,
I have 4.6y work ex at an mnc, but the initial stint of 8 months was the training period after getting placed
The work was full time but recieved lesser salary as compared to the actual conversion after the 8 month period

Will my entire WE be considered or do I need to subtract the initial 8 months

Training periods are counted as experience if its full-time employment. if you were studying during that time, then it isnt counted.

Evaluate what role you played in the organization and pick a designation. Please pick something that aligns with your level of experience. You might need an experience letter, which I am sure you can manage.

What should be my GMAT focus target score for PGPX?

X - 64.6% ,XII- 88%
BTech (CSE) from private college with CGPA of 7.5

Workex: 4 years in IT in service based MNC.

extra curricular and volunteer post college: State basketball player , Sports captain

Hi avi19, You can target around 665-675.

Being a state basketball player, your EC is really strong. Although the pool of IT professionals is highly competitive, the EC part will help you differentiate your profile.

665-675 will put you in a decent place, final selection of course will depend on how you perform in interview on that day. Best Wishes.

Your sports achievements add the uniqueness but rest of the profile including academic scores & IT services experience is a very crowded and competitive applicant pool. Target a 675+ in GMAT for better chances. You’ve mentioned your post MBA goal as Software Developer? That seems off. Hi all, Can anyone help me on a query regarding International Exposure section in application?
I have worked with International clients and projects for the last 3 years but from India and never stayed abroad. Are those experiences accounted for in international exposure or is it only asking about those where applicant has stayed there?

Hi nemosequi, Risk and Compliance Analyst role in Risk Advisory teaches you a lot about organizations and businesses. And you have been awarded a great number of times there, showing what a great value addition you have been to KPMG. The NGO part will add a completeness to your profile. The acads are decent.

You can target 665-675+ for IIMA PGPX. You should be in competitive position with this score. You can also target ISB, IIMB and IIMC. All these colleges will add almost similar value to your career in terms of learning and career support.

Experience with the Risk Advisory team of KPMG is well recognised by the school. However, given a lot of candidates apply with a similar risk advisory background from Big 4, make sure to highlight your ratings and awards to make yourself standout. Work done with NGO and ECs are good additions to your profile. Since your academics is comparatively on the lower side, target a GMAT score of 675+ to bolster your chances. Keep IIMA PGPX and ISB PGP as your primary target schools. All the best.
