Essays Questions
- Describe a situation in which you failed as a leader. What did you learn from it? (Word limit 300)
- Is there any additional information that is critical for the Admissions Committee which has not been covered elsewhere in this application? (i.e. re-application, health, grades, etc.) (Word limit 50)
- How do you intend to finance your MBA at IMD? How much of your total budget estimate will you be able to provide without loans or scholarships? (Word limit 50)
- What other programs are you considering? Of the programs you are considering, what can IMD bring to you as a differentiator? (Word limit 100) Here's an expert's advice on how to handle this essay.

Thanks Vibis! Luckily, I happen to have their last year's career stats and got a chance to compare them with the current stats.
- Average Salary: $135,635 ($23K or 20% increase from last year
) - 74% placements in Europe. Last year 77% students got placements in Europe. This year placements in Africa/Middle East have increased to 5%.
- Top industry sectors: Manufacturing (24%), Consulting (23%), CPG (16%), Tech/Media (12%).
- 95% of the class changed function, industry or geography
I was also looking for placement stats of international students (Non-European students) to see where these students are getting placed, their salary distribution, and industries, but I am afraid IMD does not publish this information.
