I have experience working with successful applicants from military backgrounds. The leadership, discipline, and unique experiences that they can bring to the table are invaluable.

That said, as an Indian applicant with limited international experience (as you mentioned in another post) and a 690 GMAT score, you'll need the rest of your application to be truly exceptional to have a decent shot at INSEAD.

In short, worth applying, but with realistic expectations.

Heyy
Anyone having some idea as how military veterans profile and experience fare in the admissions process.
A really good profile and a good way to put it.
But will a mediocre gmat (690) push through?

Can anyone help me with how to activate OG code on gmat website ?
Hi

Please navigate to the link: gmatprep dot starttest dot com (sorry for posting it this way, as GMAT club does not allow me to post links unless I have replied on at least 5 other posts)
After logging in, go to Activation Codes tab and enter your code to activate the Mock Test
Remember, each purchased mock test has a validity of 1 year from the date of activation and a maximum of 2 attempts

Also, please bookmark this link somewhere.

Hope I was able to answer your question!

krishnayankar - your academics and work-ex present interesting angles.

I'd like to understand the nature of your role, impact (key projects) and career goals to better assess the professional arc. Also, have you worked with international teams?

A 675-685+ on the GMAT would help strengthen your chances.

All the best!

Hi, I am a IIT graduate with very little extra curriculars and a low gpa(6.4, it is approximately 69% in India), I have a GMAT FE score of 685(I will give the gmat once more) and a work ex of 3 years as a analyst/consultant at a reputed company. I took a break for about 10 months in between. What are my chances at INSEAD?

Which IIT? I’ll suggest scoring high to compensate for low college score and other factors

Stage 3: Interviews with alumni
Interviews are conducted by INSEAD Alumni interviewers, normally in your country of residence. In the majority of cases, two separate interviews are required.

Hey guys, quick question!

For INSEAD R1

Have anyone else's recommenders faced an issue with the LoR questionnaire not showing word limits? If so, how many words are you aiming for per prompt?

Any guidance would be appreciated! 🙏

Hi sawyeem,

INSEAD LoRs have never had word limits. Recommenders can write as much as they feel is necessary.

That said, in practice, some questions are usually answered in 200–300 words (e.g., career progress, describe the candidate as a person), while others can go up to 500–600 words (e.g., strengths). It's really up to the recommender. However, from experience, it's in your best interest that the strengths answer is relatively long. I've seen plenty of LoRs from rejected applicants where that answer was just a one-liner. Ideally, recommenders should support their claims with examples. So, that answer usually ends up being the longest one in the LoR.

Keep in mind that, overall, the quality of the answers matters far more than the word count.

I hope this helps.

Warm regards
Alex
