Thanks for this initiative, souvik101990

STEM certification seems to be a popular topic nowadays - Kellogg, Haas, Tepper, Ross, Darden, Fuqua etc. all offer it in different formats. How much difference does this actually make? AFAIK nobody goes into a pure engineering role post-MBA, so how does this change recruiting at all?

You do not need a pure engineering role at all. Most employers (and roles) are eligible (they have a database on Revera) but employers often make it more defensible by adding analytics and quantitative things on your job description!

Intro: I am international student and will be graduating with a STEM MBA + MS at Boston University in 2020. Currently, I going through the arduous recruiting cycle. Personally, I try to derive as much joy as I can while taking to folks from both within the tech industry and otherwise.

Are you an international student attending or planning to attend business school?

Do you have questions about OPT, VISA, STEM, and all the other acronyms that give us international folks pause and sleepless nights? Let's gather around and figure this out!

By way of introduction, I am an international student who is recruiting for full-time options in the US and going through many hoops to figure this journey out, and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and also learn from each other! Let's get this going :)

Hey Souvik, I have heard about you enough (because I have been on this forum for a while now) but never really tagged/talked to you. There is always a first time.

I am the legendary Indian IT Male. :tongue_opt3 I am currently in USA on H1 So I know a lot about Visas and stuff already.

I don't know whether I will be pursuing my MBA from USA or India (Honestly, I want to stick to India based on my long term goals) but we will see how things go.

I would also be glad to provide any information that can help some folks on the forum!

Thanks for spending a minute!

Regards
Rajesh
