Withdrew my application a day before the interview...it felt really strange giving up on a lifelong dream, even though I know I have something better.I just never really thought I would deny an isb invitation.

Hi Folks,
I have a small query, may be someone has a clue about it. I have opted for Skype interview, I was wondering if Skype and in-person interview calls are sent out at the same time or one after the other.
Thanks and regards,

The thread has dried out after the R1 admits :(
With the interviews starting for the R2, let me put some do's and the dont's for the interviews.
If you have any further queries. You can PM me... especially for the dont's :)

You should keep the following points while the ISB interview.

1. Be very thorough with your essays. Most of the questions are from them.
2. Be fully prepared about the work you do. What is the business aspect/impact.
3. Listen to them carefully before jumping in to answer the question.
4. Don't try to bluff to much. they will catch you :)
5. They are human beings :P treat it as an interaction and not an interview. You will sail through :)
6. Prepare a question which you want to ask them and prepare a meaning full one.
7. If you say that you have been rated excellent or very good, then be ready to tell the percentage of people who are below you.
8. Do not be afraid if you do not know the meaning of the one word essay. You can very well google it.
9. If they ask you to talk about something, always talk about something which will bring something to the table and ISB and not some random things.
10. Be very clear about your short term goal and why you cannot reach there without and MBA or ISB.

Will try to put in some more points. Till then, the R1 admits or the R2 applicants can put in their views and revive this thread.

Gung ho!!! :)

But I heard that we will get the results mostly within 3 weeks of interview date. Is this true?

No that is not the case, because the interview range over a long interval of time and all the results are given on the same day, hence the people who have given the interviews early have to wait for a longer duration.

Hi all

Got the interview invite for Delhi Jan 11.
R1 applicants any suggestions?

How can I counter my low GMAT score?
what is a general interview panel composition?
is there any fixed interview structure?

ISB Interview Experience
Essay One Word : Jargon
Interview started with my experience in staying at campus, interactions with current students
FDI in retail(Retail background)
Retail specific questions based on profile
Guesstimate-did well
What will i bring to ISB?
Why ISB?
What kinda companies I am looking at after ISB?
Lots of discussion on E-commerce and retail again
Why MBA?

Very relaxed, more like a conversation, interviewers are very friendly. Good Luck guys!!!!

My 2 cent from reading forum and guessing on the pattern... We have till 6 th best 7th to hear from them. Delhi days for interview are 9-13 so that will give you 6-7 days to prep.
Please correct me if I am wrong...

Cheers!

I think they have started sending the invites for Delhi Interview from Monday itself. I think they will send it off by Friday. Dont think so It will linger on to 6-7th. The time frame of 5-7 days is the minimum that they will give. Moreover I think we can still expect a call 1-2 days have passed after hearing/reading a that person got a call for 13th Jan.

I had opted for Delhi interview. No call yet.... does anyone have an idea if all Delhi invites are done, or is there a hope.

Also, do they strictly call you for interview on your opted location, or can they randomly call you to Hyderabad too.
