Hi everyone! I wanted an opinion on something I am facing. My mother has fallen sick and my organisation doesn’t seem keen to provide me unpaid time off work and I think that I may have to resign. My question here is that is it necessary for me to be employed while applying to b-schools? I am being a little too optimistic here and thinking that if push comes to shove and I do have to resign, I can be at home and manage my chores so as to allow me time to prep which should ideally lead to a score increase form current 610 to 680-690. However, with not being employed will it affect my chances if I am unemployed with 7 years+ experience as a chef manager cum trainer at a leading hotel brand in India? A 29 year old female here. Please shed some light as to what are the possibilities here. Thanks!!!
atialokkumar28, I think ISB provides a section in the application where you can explain the reason for quitting. Please use that effectively. In the event you want to elaborate further (ISB unfortunately doesnt provide an optional essay), you might think of finding ways of weaving this story as a part of your 2 essays to demonstrate a particular personality trait

When would the round 2 deadlines come out?
] I think you should have some clarity by October, considering the deadlines are typically in early December

I don’t think there were a lot of deferrals. I don’t know the exact number but I guess it is not the number that would cause a concern for the prospective applicants.

what is the placement scene like for 31 year old
You might want to reach out to the senior executive club members at the program for a detailed response

Hi! I wanted to apply for R1 and appeared for GMAT accordingly. However I ended up scoring a 680. Could somebody please suggest whether I should apply with this score for R1 or retest and apply for R2? I know there is significant reduction in scholarship amount for R2, but at the same time I don’t want to diminish my chances at converting. Please suggest!
Scholarships in ISB aren’t to significant. Not a lot of people end up getting the scholarship. So a scholarship reward decision I suppose wont wary by too much across the rounds. All that said, a stronger GMAT score in most cases improves chances by a great deal

Hello Everyone,
I gave my GMAT 6 months back and requested the score report to be sent to ISB PGP at the same time.
But now while applying to Round 1, I noticed that my percentile of Quant and Verbal has changed. So, I want to know which percentile should I enter in PGP Application Form ? The one which is the latest or the one which was present when I first sent my score report to ISB 6 months back ?
Please Advice
