I was going through the 2022 ISB applicants group a while ago.

1. Some of the ‘under review’ emails were converted to shortlists and were invited to interview.
2. Results were said to be announced by 15th November but the last date was revised to 20th December later (though people started getting admits from 23rd November)
3. Portal was updated first and admit emails were rolled out on a rolling basis.

I am asking that after graduation anyone have gap and then they joined a job and converted isb thats all I didn’t ask about gap after 12th

Common for quite a few folks to have gaps on their CV post graduation. What matters most is how you project it in your applications!

Hi All
Had my interview today. Panel 8, delhi.

It was a different experience. They had gone through my application in detail. They didnt ask me any why mba why isb tell us about yourelf sort of questions. My interview lasted for about 40 mins and entire interview revolved around discussing my growth in current organisation and kinds of campaigns ive worked on.
Thoda unpredictable tha tbh and preparation didnt help much.

Lets hope for best :)
I was interviewed in Blr on Oct 29th by panel 7 and had a very similar experience. My interview lasted about 30 mins and they took a very very focussed interview around my long term goal and my present role. They didn’t introduce themselves, neither did they ask me to introduce myself. No Why MBA, Why ISB, behavourial questions of any sort. It was a very different experience than any of the mocks

Thanks for sharing! For the people we have mentored in this ISB applications cycle, have seen an interesting development where one panellist is asking you questions (good cop) while the other is pressurising you to answer quickly, cross questioning you (bad cop). Have seen this commonality for many people this year in their R1 interviews.

Does anyone know if the interviews are a make or break deal?

Once you have the interview call, then everything depends on the interview. Your GMAT score, profile, essays, narrative matter till the interview shortlisting stage, not after that.

i have 760 at gmat and 5yrs workex do I stand a chance?

Standalone GMAT score looks great. But getting an ISB interview invite is a function of many things - your essays (narrative), academics (college/school), profile (impact at work, industry, role).

Actually not..the profile’s score and the interview’s score are added up to define the final one. Interviews alone are not a make or break for ISB.

I feel you must target a 700+ .. that’s a safe score...but for now you might want to apply in round 2 nonetheless...and then improve your GMAT score if not shortlisted for round 2..and you can justify in the round 3 re application that you have improved your GMAT as well
can we apply in two rounds in one application year?

Nope

How much weight is given to GMAT score and X/XII/Undergrad GPA for ISB PGP ?
If I am very strong academically, will a subpar interview be acceptable ?

Hey! GMAT typically has 25-30% weightage in your ISB PGP application. A great undergrad cgpa along with X/XII marks can compensate to an extend for a subpar GMAT score or essays in getting an interview call. But post that, interview is the only thing that matters and takes precedence.

With all due respect, what Manan has said is *exactly* what the AdComs say that there is a composite score that gets created based on the different parts of the application, including the interviews. So unless you’re saying that the AdCom is intentionally misleading applicants it’s simply not true that post the interview the rest of the application doesn’t really matter

With all due respect, what I was trying to say is that once the interview call is received, it takes precedence over other factors. I have attended my fair share of ISB adcom sessions and have observed this from the experiences of others and my own experience too. Thanks.
