Great scores in school and decent graduation GPA. For GMAT, I am guessing you are yet to appear for one. In case you are getting ~665 in your mocks, ensure to translate the same in your actual exam as well. 665 is a good score for ISB. Would recommend that you apply in R1 itself if you get this GMAT score. Your shortlist would also depend on your goals post MBA so make sure you articulate it well. Emphasise on your social work efforts in relevant parts of your essay to improve your chances. Feel free to reach out to Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed free consultation and guidance for application strategy. Good luck!

All scores are good. JP Morgan adds a good brand value. Stint as a Product Manager can be really helpful to build a coherent story in your essays. Years of work ex is closer to class average so that also seems sorted. All extracurriculars & achievements are from college or school, would be great to include some interests from recent years to ensure a well rounded profile. Overall a good profile, it would now mostly depend on your essays. Wish you the best! You can always reach out to Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a brainstorming call in case you want to discuss certain aspects in greater detail.

Hi,

1. You wouldn't be eligible for IIMA PGPX CO26 ( requires min 4 years work exp), ISB PGP you can surely apply for.
2. Can't see a GMAT score here, so I am assuming you still have to write that, target a score close to higher than around 655/665.
3. The extracurriculars are strong but not very recent. As your work ex is also not too high, the recency should not be a big hassle.
4. Do you really want to apply just yet? at 2 yrs 1 months, your brief work ex at two organisations within this period may not give you a lot of talking points on the professional maturity part, however, that we still can't say for sure, as the quality of work ex can't be ascertained just from this information here.

Given that you achieve a strong GMAT score; introspect on your stories and time your application well, you can put up a strong case for ISB PGP.

All the best!

Hey, nikkkki

Your profile is competitive for the ISB PGP Co'26, provided you can achieve a strong GMAT or GRE score and effectively communicate your unique experiences and aspirations in your application. However, for the IIM PGPX 2026, you do not meet the work experience requirement, which is a critical criterion for eligibility.

Focus on improving your GMAT/GRE scores and how you would articulate them to maximize admission chances at ISB.

If you have any further questions related to your profile or want to have a 1:1 discussion with our top profile experts, . Feel free to schedule a complimentary profile evaluation session with our experts . We match you with the students and alums of top B-Schools according to your background and target schools.

nikkkki - some thoughts:

1. The undergrad pedigree/ GPA are alright. Given the lower-than-average work-ex, a strong GMAT (ideally 675+ GFE) can help strengthen your case for ISB. Since IIM-A PGPX requires a min of 4 years work-ex, it'd unfortunately not be doable.

2. Work-ex sounds interesting, but would like to know more details (of your role, key projects, etc.) to assess the strength of the professional arc better. It'd be crucial to have a strong narrative highlighting your key skills, post-MBA goals, and how MBA/ ISB would help.

3. ECA's seem a bit outdated. Any activities post undergrad?

Decent academics. Work ex is on the lower side so IIMA PGPX is out of question. You’ll need a strong GMAT score of 665+ to improve your chances for ISB. Given your limited work ex, be very clear about your goals and reason for pursuing MBA from ISB. Sharpen your extracurricular to focus on few impactful things. With a good GMAT score and well crafted essay, you can take a shot at ISB. However, even if you decide to wait out another year to gain more experience, that’s also a valid option. You are sorted in terms of breadth of work experience and US exposure adds a good dimension. What is your GMAT score? Your reasoning for switch from IT to IT consulting also seems reasonable. With a decent GMAT score and strong essays, you have a great shot at ISB + IIM ABC. Also, you could try for some international B-Schools as you have a decent chance of securing scholarships. Not really..work ex of 12 yrs puts you in the bracket for senior leadership roles and should not have any negative impact as such
