On mba.com, there will be an option to “send official score”. Please select ISB from there and share it

I gave my GMAT focus and have my scores as well. However I didn’t get any score report apart from the one on the website. I read and found that there is no official report anymore. However ISB is asking for the official score report. What do I submit as MBA.com clearly calls out that the screenshot should not be submitted as official score report and that’s where I am confused as what to do. Please guide
Attach screenshot from website along with mail confirmation

Given that you were scoring higher in mocks, you can definitely give another attempt to further improve your score. But keep in mind that in addition to the GMAT score, your overall profile, goals, communication skills and cohort fit also matter a lot. So while you prepare for your 2nd GMAT attempt, make sure to allocate enough time for crafting your application that is customised for each of your target B-School. Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed discussion

Academics are on the weaker side. Infosys experience as a System Engineer is a generic one. You’ll really have to bolster your profile as an Associate Consultant to showcase some spike in your profile. Also, 2 yr 10 months experience is till date or till Mar 2026? Attempt for a high GMAT score (At least 675+, ideally 695+) to improve your chances and offset the low marks in school and graduation. Try and do more with your passion for Singing so that it could add another unique dimension to your persona. Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed discussion around your application strategy

So you’ll effectively have ~4.5 yrs till Mar 2026 which is a decent work ex range for your target schools. Ensure to make your consulting stint a highly impactful one

So ISB has given a format for the CV. Do we have to follow it to the T? Or is there scope of additions. Also, do we have to comply with the margins. I have 4+ years of work ex with different clients but the way the Cv format has been recommended, I won’t be able to incorporate all the info

Any insight will really be appreciated
Honestly you should be asking this question to ISB Krishna1197. How can anyone on this forum authoritatively tell you that you can tinker with the format that ISB has specified.

I love playing the guitar, and as a former quizzer I read the newspaper everyday.

Primarily, aiming for ISB-Hyderabad. Now that I have a decent score, I can also explore INSEAD, HEC Paris, NYU Stern, MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth and Kellog. Please let me know if my profile is competiive for these B-schools.

Hey, austin316

You possess a strong academic background and nearly five years of work experience, which includes consulting and a startup role, which gives you an edge over other candidates. In addition, a GMAT FE score of 695 acts as solid foundation, which is necessary for admission into top programs. Your background also displays your willingness to embrace challenges as well as adapt to different situations.

Your work in launching a website, coordinating events, and participating in CSR activities showcases your leadership and sets you apart. Recognized academic achievements and your curiosity and empathy further enhance your MBA application.

Highlight any global experience, such as your General Electric internship because for INSEAD, HEC Paris and NYU Stern, international exposure is important. This international exposure aligns well with their emphasis on diverse backgrounds and global perspectives. MIT Sloan and Chicago Booth additionally favor applicants who exhibit commanding leadership skills and excellence in diverse teams, whereas collaboration and teamwork are highly valued at Kellogg. Make sure to emphasize these qualities in your application.

Your strong profile makes you a competitive candidate for ISB and top B-schools. Concentrate on refining areas which need improvement to improve your probability of getting admission.

We’d be happy to discuss your profile in more detail and help enhance your application’s competitiveness. Feel free to schedule a call with us here for an in-depth evaluation and additional benefits. We match you with the students and alums of top B-schools according to your background and target schools

It's a great profile from our experience. With solid essays, you have a strong chance at both LBS and ISB.

Your work experience can really be useful and be discussed in the interviews, so maybe try to make it look better on profile. (For Eg, incorporating the Young Engineer award in your work ex section - Just a psychological trick so they see this award in the upper section of your CV ;))

Plus, 695 on Focus is much higher than the average for both LBS and ISB. And the GPA of 8.5 is also on the higher end. I'd recommend being really good in essays and perfecting the interview so you cut any edges.

One thing, which I realised very recently, i.e. Post COVID Applications is the search for an X-Factor. For some, it is like an International Summer School or like a Startup Project. It can be a great idea to look for that in your profile. If required, DM me and we can help too :)

But I'd say with a decent application, you have a very real shot at clearing both.

Good Luck!

Ribak Derulo!
