Hey, @IDK2156

A GMAT Focus score of 595 can be challenging for ISB admissions, but it doesn’t end your chances. With focused preparation and a strong application, you can still make a good case for yourself. However, retaking the GMAT could greatly improve your application and increase your chances of getting in.

Good luck :D

Of course, this is ultimately your decision. If you feel you can meaningfully boost your GMAT score or take on significant new responsibilities at work before Round 2, then waiting may be worthwhile. But in my assessment, you are in a good position to submit a strong application in Round 1 and benefit from the earlier decision and scholarship opportunities.

We’d be happy to discuss your profile in more detail and help enhance your application’s competitiveness..Feel free to schedule a complimentary profile evaluations session with our experts . We match you with the students and alums of top B-Schools according to your background and target schools.

Is anyone facing issues with resolution clarity while viewing uploaded documents at ISb portal? I am uploading good resolution documents, however when i view them in the portal after uploading the resolution is very bad. Almost not readable.

Many good things in this, one certain area of improvement needed is the score if target school is ISB. When you tell you story through application or during interview, focus on the depth of highlights mentioned. Drop down list of too many activities over a very short period of time makes it difficult to believe the claims. Pick 5-6 good stories of your life , add details, sound convincing and be ready for counter questions...................................... You can explain the projects in the structure - Size/Scale/Scope/Complexity/Impact -- which generally gives a 20-30 seconds answer ....... Good luck

The score is on the lower side with very little chance of making the cut at ISB. Would strongly recommend to re-attempt the exam.

Your diverse work ex of 11 years definitely makes you stand out as a candidate. Every year ISB has a certain pool of students with 10+ yrs of experience who are suitable for senior leadership roles post MBA. While the proportion of this cohort varies every year, it surely puts you in the consideration mix. Your GMAT score is on the lower side. To improve your chances I would strongly suggest to re-attempt and get it upto at least 645. Also the long term goal seems very generic. You need to personalise your goals and logically link it to your past experiences and aspirations. Your academics and FAANG + PhonePe experience will play to your strengths. Being a YouTuber, author & mentor also adds a refreshing diversity to your profile. However, GMAT score of 605 is not upto the mark and would make it difficult to get a shortlist. Would recommend to re-take the exam and attempt for a higher score. Also, it would be important to clearly articulate your post MBA goals as you transition from a software role to a more managerial once. Feel free to book a free consultation with Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed discussion

Can you please comment, if I should apply for the 1st Round or 2nd Round of ISB.

4+ Yrs of Experience (Current Industry- Pharma Consulting (1.5+ Yrs Experience))

Your profile encompassing academics, GMAT score and professional experience is a strong one. If you feel ready to craft your essay narratives in a logical and persuasive manner before 15th Sept, then definitely apply in R1. In case you need more time for the essays or are expecting a higher GMAT score with more attempts, then deferring the application to R2 would make sense.
