Hello,
I’m looking for a profile evaluation for the 2027–28 intake of the ISB PGP, INSEAD, London Business School, and National University of Singapore, along with guidance on the GMAT Focus Edition score I should target for each.

Profile:
- Age: 24, Male
- 10th: 10 CGPA
- 12th: 78.4%
- B.E. in Electronics & Communication (Tier-2 college): 8.56 CGPA

Work Experience:
- 3 years at a private service-based company working with international clients in robotics and IoT
- Promotion streak record from Intern → Junior Firmware Developer → Firmware Developer → Senior Embedded Firmware Developer

I have not taken the GMAT Focus Edition yet and would appreciate feedback on my chances and the ideal score range to aim for.
ISB and NUS: 675
LBS and INSEAD: 695+

There are more aspects of profile that significantly matter for INSEAD and LBS admission so the information here isn’t enough to make any suggestion for these schools. But nothing disqualifies you either.

For ISB and NUS, I think you can capitalise on your experience and make a fine application 🙂

palexpo,

Not a lot of information here to properly give an assessment, but target GMAT FE of 685+ to stay competitive, but there are so many factors involved other than just GMAT.

All the Best!

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

Hi! You seemingly have done a lot by just 25 years of age. But some more context is needed. What specifically were you doing at your first job? Big 4 consulting in India covers a wide range and the nature of your work matters for how adCom reads that experience. If your three years were in for eg. commercial cue diligence advising clients on acquisitions by assessing market position and competitive dynamics, that is strategic work. If it was more compliance, or process-oriented etc, the label is stronger than the substance. Also, boutique IB firms in India vary in the quality of deal exposure. So again, what you actually did will matter. Were you modelling, pitching, executing live transactions, or mostly supporting? At a smaller firm maybe you got broader exposure (than at a large institution), and so if that has been your experience, present it as such. Deal names, transaction sizes, your actual role, these kind of details make things more differentiated in the applications.

Currently are you into deals advisory and corporate finance at a Big 4? Focus on how is this a progressive step over the last role. You also did not mention your goals. Without that an evaluation is incomplete. Intentionality needs to come through in your application. For the top schools on your list, what you do outside of work will also make a difference. Extracurriculars, leadership beyond the office and personal story. At schools like INSEAD, LBS, CBS, MIT, the adcoms are looking for the person who will sit in that classroom and make it more interesting for everyone else. For finance focused candidates a balanced right brain think is also important. The higher the GMAT, the better the odds, but I do feel that if you have really high quality work to show, a 675+ can be a safe score.

Best wishes

palexpo - some more details can help assess your profile better e.g. key achievements/ projects at work, any international exposure, extracurricular involvement, directional post-MBA career goals, etc.

While there's no magic score, aiming for a 685+ GMAT Focus with a balanced sectional split would be ideal, for the schools you've indicated.

Arvind

_vaibhavnagpal - interesting profile overall, given the undergrad performance, consulting/ IB exposure, big-4 brands and career progression.

Some more details on the professional front can help assess better e.g. key projects/ achievements, rationale for the job switches, any international exposure, directional career goals, etc.

Aiming for a 685-695+ on GMAT Focus (with a balanced split) would be ideal. All the best!

Arvind
