Hello Mentors,
I would appreciate a profile evaluation for the 2027–28 intake of the following programs:
ISB PGP
HEC Paris MBA
London Business School MBA
NUS MBA
I would also like guidance on the GMAT Focus Edition score I should target to be competitive at each school.
Profile Overview:
Female, 25
Class X: 79%
Class XII: 89%
BBA, CGPA: 8.89/10 (Tier 2/3 institution)
Work Experience:
By the time of application, I will have ~4 years of experience across the fintech and SaaS sectors.
I have worked at Razorpay, Lucidity, and currently smallcase (a Zerodha Group company). My career has pivoted from a core B2B sales role toward the growth role, providing a lot of exposure into the finance, payments, and the wealth sector.
My experience includes working closely with C-suite stakeholders across mid-sized enterprises and MNCs. In my current role, I work with some of India's largest AMCs and wealth management firms while reporting directly to the CEO.
This is a good profile with real potential, especially for ISB and NUS (Female + non-engineer diversity helps).
Strong UG score, Good company mix: Razorpay → SaaS → smallcase gives a nice progression story. furthermore, reporting to CEO and working with large AMCs/wealth firms can be a strong signal if there is real ownership
Having said these. 79% in 10th won’t win any points. Not a deal breaker but many candidates signal a high % in 10th. Can be compensated with decent GMAT score.
Also, startup/growth roles can sometimes sound vague in applications. Schools will ask:
What exactly did you drive?
Revenue? Partnerships? GTM? Product adoption? Customer growth? Strategic initiatives?
“Worked with CXOs” sounds impressive but does not mean much unless linked to outcomes.
Another thing to think deeply about is post-MBA goals, because this can make or break your profile. A right narrative would be important
GMAT Focus targets vary for different colleges.
ISB: 685+, NUS: 665+, HEC Paris: 705+, LBS: 715+
Lastly, don't throw a generic goal such as consulting. Your post MBA goal should be a natural progression and aspirational.
