Thanks. Ya no problem. 680 GMAT, 2.72 Undergrad. Was previously working for top hedge fund in NYC last 4 years in valuations group.

My 2 cents for anyone with pretty generic stats like me: I think my advice to anyone reading this is really focus on what you want to do, how prev work will help get you there (could be just general skills you acquired), and how the school fits in to your future. That and focus on 3-4 qualities that you really think make you the person that you are (they don’t need to be special) and make sure that comes across in your essays.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

Rice itself says the following at this link:
https://www.ricembaadmissions.com/2014/11/admissions-deadlines-what-do-they-mean.html

" As Full Time applications are evaluated in rounds, each round comes to an end on the corresponding decision date. All applicants to the Full Time program will be made aware of their admissions decision on the same day--the decision date--by phone call or email. For example, if you have submitted your complete application package on or before Monday, January 5th, 2015, you will receive your admissions decision on Friday, February 27th, 2015 (and not a day sooner)."

So how can results come before Feb 27th?

Not certain why the website says that but the first calls came out early based on the thread from last year.

In addition to my previous question, I have another:
Did you (admits) all get phone calls or mail or did you check it on the portal?

Thanks!

Got the admit call Monday at about 2PM. Their deadline for the deposit is March 16th, which is before I would even hear back from any of the other schools that I applied to and interviewed at.
