that is probably why. You should write to Kellogg explaining this. They will have no way to know that you are using two different email adresses.

Hi guys, facing difficulty in scheduling the interview with an alum, need advice!
The kellogg adcom provided me with the alumn name, email and phone number when they asked to schedule an interview.
I had emailed the alum on the 21st and after not receiving any responses, I sent a follow up email yesterday. I also found her on linked in and pinged her over there relaying that I had sent over details on xyz email id.
I don't know if I should call her at this point, I do have the contact but not sure what the proper etiquette is.

Please advise on what should be my next step, considering that the interview has to be over before the 4th of october according to 2 week deadline provided by Kellogg.

Reply to Kellogg's invitation to interview email expressing the challenges you are currently facing in obtaining an interview with the Alum the Adcom paired you with to ascertain your candidacy.

You should get a response within 24 hours. After that, I bet they will send you another email asking you to pick a date; afterwards a member of the Adcom will conduct your interview.

Thanks erhomoe. That makes sense. Although I wonder if the email address is the issue, it is possible the kellogg has an outdated email id for the alum. Do you think it is inappropriate to call her number ? I don't want to be put in an awkward situation where I escalate and then hear back from her.

I would text the alum and if I don’t hear back in 24 hours, I’d let the AdCom know. I had a similar experience in Feb this year- the AdCom paired me with another alum and I had a great interaction!

I just realized i had a typo on my essays in terms of impact (written as ~$X usd). Feels like a deal-breaker mistake to me. can i do something about it now?

should i write to adcoms convincing them it was a sesitiive number so had to sanitize it and couldnt share?

well, on the bright side, its still better than some typos that I have read online about (hunger for earning instead of hunger for learning! )

You should avoid lying by trying to convince them it is a sensitive number.

I’d rather just be upfront and say it was an honest mistake and here is actual impact in dollar amount that I failed to mention properly in Essay1 or Essay2

Unless you have added 2 extra zeroes or something, I’d say you’re doing more harm by attempting to fix it..

For future apps, if it really is a sensitive number that you cannot divulge I would suggest you think of other ways to quantify the impact (jobs saved, client continuing to work with your firm as a result of your work, etc.) or be a little vgue about it (thousands of dollars or something like that)

I agree. But I don’t know if leaving it at ~x USD is ideal. that could be 2000 USD or 200,000 USD. Might dilute the impact of the story OP has tried to share? But only OP would truly know that.

I did mention a deal size but I left it saying it was a deal worth more than $ 100 Mn

I’d recommend putting a note saying that you’re under an NDA and dealing with sensitive information and upload it as part of the additional information

This is also a good idea BUT IIRC the portal explicitly mentions that you can upload documents here but we cannot always guarantee that the additional information will be looked at.

They generally do - unless one is really unlucky - but I do agree with you on the risk. The email is direct and better!

Honestly, its up to you. Noone here knows the content of your essay and how important the impact in dollar amount is. If you feel strongly about this, you should go ahead and drop them an email.
