To those who are wondering about getting replies from their interviewers. You should not judge anything from the absence of one.
Sometimes the interviewers just do not have the time to reply.

I had a great interview with lots of laughs, but I did not get a reply.
Verdict: Admitted with Full scholarship!

Hahaha ... I am not sure how was I able to turn it around, but I think it was a combination of factors instead of one. Below is a list of factors that I feel played a part.

1. Goal - I was pretty clear about my goal and articulated it well in the interview and essays
2. Working towards Goal- I have been working towards my goal through my work, extra curricular and start up too. So everything was coherent.
3. GMAT score- This I feel is again a very important factor especially for Indians. It also helped me overcome my below average GPA (72/100)
4. Connection with the school - The fit and what would you do inside the school. What courses, what clubs etc.
5. Interview - Reinforce what you have written in the essays and be prepared with 5 6 stories. Present yourself a a person, not as an engineer (If you are one) Tell them your passion and likes in life. Do not just stick to work.

However, I am not sure if this is the right recipe. I was rejected by some schools without an interview too

Anyone know if you check the website or if they e-mail you with the decision?

Most of the accepted students got a phone call from their interviewers one or two days in advance and the official results were posted on the given date.
An email arrives in your box prompting you to check the decision on the portal.
The portal contains information about the acceptance and a mention of scholarship if any, but not the amount. You get another mail stating the amount.

The scholarship is mentioned on the phone call too, but not the amount. I was told that there is some activity and it is very generous, but I came to know about the exact amount only on the decision date.

Hope this clarifies all the doubts about result declaration.

I see 10 R3 applicants have got the interview invite. Can you guys please comment composition of first set of interview invites please, i.e. on-campus/skype/alumni. I too applied in R3 but no communication till now. Starting to worry a little bit.

Yes, I received the call on Saturday night IST and results were declared on Monday night IST.

Anticipation building. UNC is the dream after visiting campus. I interviewed both at Duke and UNC and the vibe at UNC was more of what I am looking for in an MBA. Hope to get some good news here soon. Will commit same day lol

I had the same exact feeling. I had unscheduled visits with Duke/UNC in the same day. UNC seemed much more welcoming and the staff was much more open to speaking with me (they said 10 min, we were there for an hour). Building and campus was much nicer at UNC. I always thought I'd automatically pick Duke over UNC but may not be the case.

Also, I did receive an 'application complete' email today, even though I got an interview invite on Monday. Not sure what the 'app complete' email indicates.

Anyone apply in R2 getting nervous/excited about February 1?! Does no phone call over the weekend of January 29-31 indicate any kind of red flag for the applicant? I feel like most schools stay firm to the decision release date and don't make phone calls, but I've heard otherwise with Kenan-Flagler. Did some people get in without getting a phone call over the weekend before the release date? I know R1 decisions were released on December 14, which was also a Monday.

Wondering if they'll do the same unofficial phone call this weekend. It would really ease my mind. Feb 1 seems so far
