It's not impossible to get in with a 700 given that LBS average is around 710.

However Indian applicants generally need to score much higher since there is so much competition.

I was exaggerating. The conventional wisdom is that Indian male engineers need a score higher than the average to get in. 700 is below the LBS average GMAT. I was just saying "Don't fret if you have a 770".

Hi All, is English proficiency test score required for application submission? i see there is a waiver.
but my transcript does not explicitly mention the medium of education.
Please advise if i need to take English proficiency test.

Why don't you write to the Adcom and find out directly? If it is a university they are familiar with, then they might give you a waiver.

Theres alot more to admissions than GMAT. It's just one if many data points

I've had co workers with 750+ get dinged and co workers with 650 get admitted
