If I don't know LBS alumni or students in person, would stating LinkedIn connections help? To everyone who applied, how did you answer this question? I find it tricky because I see the emphasis on LBS (or international) connection many times and feel like it may be quite important:
1. Do you have a recommendation from LBS?
2. State your LBS connections
3 Describe.....international experience
1. The recommendation requires specifically the alumni have to know you for a long period.
2. You can connect several alumni through linkedin and mention here, just to let they know that you have done your homework
3. It will be good if you have experience living in other countries. If not, mention experience of working/meeting foreigners in your countries, your traveling experience.
Anyway, they are just additionals. My impression of meeting LBS admission/recruitment team that they are not so picky for "X factors". When I asked I should apply round 1 or round 2... they only asked me back what is my GMAT score...
