hey guys

Just a quick doubt.
If you have had your UG education in english you dont have to provide TOEFL/IELTS score ryt ?

I am sure we dont have to but just confirming.
Cheers
Sushiboy

Hey sushiboy
Yes, you don't need TOEFL/IELTS scores. However, your transcripts need to clearly state that your complete UG has been conducted in English. As a precaution, I will also be submitting an additional letter from my college stating the same.

Hope this helps!

Hey ramalcha

I think you can go ahead with it as long as the mentor can state very specifically a) how she is in the best position to evaluate you professionally and b) can actually provide really good insights into your work and professional passions (as you clearly state she can do that). Probably it would be a good idea for her to also highlight any separate projects or collaborations you guys have worked on. That would be a nice touch.

Hope this helps!

Hi folks, can anyone help me with the word limit (if any) on the questions in Letters of Recommendation? My recommenders are currently travelling and I am preparing the instructions for them to keep in mind when writing my reccos.
Are there fixed-length boxes where they need to provide their answers?

Thanks

Anyone has made a whatsapp group for LBS prospective candidates? I can make one if others are interested?

Hi GMATin, yes a whatsapp would be nice :) Let me know if I can join if you have already created one.

I am scrambling to finalize my application for R1 - I have a terrible creative roadblock (I did personal profiling, but somehow the ideas don't really flow as smooth into my essay).

Anyone else being stuck ?

Narenn Hey! How are you? Narenn, could you elaborate how friendly is LBS for reapplicants?
I have significant improvements from last year (when I applied and dinged post interview) that includes a promotion.
I was hoping: do you have any specific insights whether LBS is reapplicant friendly?

Hi krasha
I will be happy to make a group. Why don’t we start and other applicants can feel free to join later. Why don’t you DM me your number and I can add you. :)

Hello, I’m planning to visit schools but it seems that LBS doesn’t open any on-campus interview for applicants who received invitation.

I have been searching and reading reviews written applicants who took LBS interview, but all of them had interviews in their residence country.
Even some people visited LBS but they only looked about the campus.

Do I miss any info regarding on-campus interview of LBS? Or is there no on-campus?

I found two cases of on-campus interviews in LBS interview debriefs section which indicates that it facilitates these interviews. May be you should call directly LBS admissions and confirm.

Here are on-campus interview debriefs..

I've decided to hold off on applying to LBS until round 2. Both of my recommenders submitted their letters already. If I miss the round 1 deadline, will they roll over into round 2, or do I need to have them re-submit?

You will not have to resubmit your references, all the data you put into the form is saved until you submit the application.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the rating scale 1-5?

One of my recommenders is being surprisingly difficult and has asked for it.

All good. My other recommender sent me his.

I was geared up to submit for Round 1, but just awaiting feedback whether my GMAT + GPA combo will require a retake and thus round 2 submission.

Yes, your recommendations apply only once you submit your application. Even if they are submitted in an earlier round, and you submit your app in a later round.
