I would advise you to take a look at previous years' topics to see how others managed their waitlist. For example, the following topics. You can also goto the previous years' topics and search for "waitlist" to see all the posts mentioning the waitlist.

Crazy Times! Interviews will be totally online and this R3 is likely to be bigger (in terms of # of applications) than ever. Is that correct?

Hi Narenn,

I think this R3 would be about the same as earlier years, as the application was due early March before the current situation exploded. I would expect R4 to be quite large in terms of applications.

Yeah, I actually meant last round which is R4 in LBS's case.

Yes I applied in R3, but depending on the outcome will most likely be applying R1 next year.

Hello folks! What do we think about R4 chances for an Indian applicant this year?
Quick stats: GMAT 730, 7 years work ex (3 India, 4 US), Masters in MIS (3.64 GPA). Worked as a Consultant for the majority of my work ex, currently working at a FAANG as an engineer.
Post MBA goal- PM/PMM

Hi All! One of my recommenders has submitted his letter a month ago. However, he just told me that he would like to elaborate more on my profile in the essay. Do you think that's possible for the LBS MBA application? I am worried that this could make the ad-com feel fishy about my application. Can I get your advice? Thank you.

I just got to know from Knelle87 that LBS is giving unconditional admission offers to applicants without the need for GMAT/GRE scores. If LBS is on your radar, this is a great opportunity for applicants who struggle with standardized tests.

If I were you, I wouldn't do it for the exact reason you mentioned. Do you think a little more briefing on your profile by a recommender is going to tilt the decision the other way? If you think yes, I guess you should reach out to the adcom and ask how to do it.
