Calling all LBS (London) MBA Applicants: (2021 Intake) Class of 2023

Hey, has anyone received an invite to the R2 Admits Welcome Event tomorrow?

Hi, can anyone help me choose the schools? I am mainly looking for an MBA in the UK or mainland Europe having one of the most common backgrounds ie Engineer, Male, Indian.
I have studied Biotechnology from an NIT but I pursued my passion for design as a career option. Currently, working as a Senior UI/UX Designer for an Indian start-up, and shall have about 6 years of WE by the time program starts.

GMAT - 770 (Top 1 percentile in the world)
GPA: 6.2/10 (Bottom 50% in the class. Wasn’t really interested in studying Biotech)

I am looking for an MBA to master the critical business expertise and to get the knowledge of marketing, strategy, and leadership to take along with my experiences of creating usable and intuitive digital products. My post-MBA goal is to get into a more product strategic role, maybe a design/Product manager in a top tech firm. Also, I am open to consulting roles in design thinking and user-centered design.

Can someone comment on my chances at LBS considering it’s a very competitive course and my low GPA in the undergrads?

In conclusion, it is difficult for others to just look at the profile like this and find a perfect school for you. Considering your gmat score and undergrad, you seem to have a strong chance at most european schools.

I am mainly asking this since I got my profile reviewed at Imperial Business School, and they don’t seem to have a impression owing to my poor undergrad scores

Imperial is being real choosy this year for some reason.

I think your best bet is to get your profile assessed at your target schools. Anyway most EU schools are in the final rounds now and you will have to wait some months

Yes. I am looking for next year only. Can you just tell me which are like really good schools in Europe for tech-product strata?

Just saw someone update on CA that he/she got an interview invite for LBS R3. Anyone else ? I thought LBS sends out interview invites on same day/date.

No... their whole process is so disorganized and disappointing to me. I emailed twice and they said they would send it a few weeks before the deposit, which is 2 weeks away...

You should hear about the scholarship decision this week. They will let you know when all the scholarships have been awarded.

I also understand some frustration about not having access to meet yet. However, trust that it is a terrific platform and LBS has done a phenomenal job engaging with the admitted students and we all have had an amazing time using it. Your meet invite should be out in a day or two. We have some amazing events planned for you guys and cannot wait to meet and connect with you.
