In these listed schools, it is likely to be exempt from writing the English proficiency test provided you supply an evidence either through your undergraduate mark sheet or a bona fide letter that your entire undergraduate was taught in English.

For uk to apply for tier4 visa, you need your CAS after furnishing all the admission formalities.
For France, you need your enrollment letter from the French university to apply for long term visa first through Campus France, then interview, and through French Embassy after getting an NOC from Campus France.

Quick question: Do B-schools differentiate between the GMAT taken online (at home) vs in-person (test center)? Curious if it affects admissions in any way.

Hi, I have a low UG GPA of 2.2/4 from a Tier 1 college in India, the low GPA is due to medical reasons. I majored in Economics. I have 4 years of work experience as a management consultant at a big 4. Is a high enough gmat score (I am yet to take it) enough to offset this or is there no point in applying?

2.2/4 is pretty low. I would recommend applying only if you have a 740+ score

No it doesn’t, GMAT has clearly stated that

Hello Samridh!

So I went ahead with UniAdvise, came across their services on LinkedIn. I really had a great experience with them. The founders themselves are LBS graduates so were able to offer great insights as to what would work for my application. They were extremely proactive!

Hahaha, but I don’t really know who you should avoid. I only approached UniAdvise and was extremely satisfied :)

Hi, have you already been working as a management consultant for the past four years? That’s typically a role held by senior or mid-level professionals, so it’s important to clarify your exact experience.

Now, while a low CGPA cannot be entirely offset by the GMAT, a strong GMAT score can help to some extent. Schools do look at the overall profile and may choose to overlook a low CGPA if other aspects, like your test scores, work experience, or leadership, stand out.

That said, LBS is a highly competitive and academically rigorous school. A 2.2 CGPA may be a challenge, especially when compared to other Indian applicants who often present stronger academic records.

I’d recommend applying to a broader set of schools, including those that are more realistic and safer options. If you’d like a list of such schools or want to explore strategies to improve your application, feel free to write to us for a free profile evaluation. If you want help finding suitable schools for your profile, feel free to reach out to us.

hI Aspiringappl,

I am updating my answer- your profile looks to be strong. Do try to get a 740+ GMAt score, If you can present a strong application- with leadership potential and impactful work, it can help.

That said, LBS does pay attention to strong academics, so you would want to bolster your academic profile through a high GMAT score.

Hi,
I just gave my first attempt of GMAT FE today and it was a 645, which I know just meets the class average of LBS (as my percentile was 89, which means 700 Classic Score). And I am thinking of giving it again regardless, but what do you feel is it even worth it to go ahead with this score if I atleast want to try for Round 1.

I am an Indian Male, who worked 1 year in consulting (Handled AI Based products for FMCG Clients) and then joined family business (2+ years) which is Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals, I have international exposure due to my family business as we majorly deal in exports and have visited various countries and met a lot of different people at conferences. Additionally, have even explored very remote regions in certain countries due to very specific requirements. There are different marketing projects other than this core business which I am responsible.

It will be a 4+ work experience when the class in 2026 begins.

I have also volunteered in organisations which spread awareness against Child Sexual Abuse by teaching such sensitive subjects in govt schools. There is definitely a lot more about me but just looking at this what do you think? Do you think my international exposure will help me stand apart?

My CGPA in college was 9.2, I did study Computer Science.

Pr4n - interesting profile overall, given your consulting/ entrepreneurial experiences and international exposure.

Being brutally honest, the GMAT score could hurt chances, given the competitive Indian Male applicant pool at LBS and also because your work-ex (4 years as of joining) is a bit on the lower side. If you believe you can improve your score (e.g. you scored higher in mocks), I'd suggest going for a retake.

All the best!

Really depends on your goals to be honest, but regardless I think even before you pursue a MiM you should work for an year to see and get some real experience, will give you the exposure which will make you much more confident as an individual when you interact with people when you are pursuing your higher studies. Also, what is "GS", I didn't get it. Unless it's goldman sachs in which case you definitely should take the job if you have an offer from them.

No course can ever give you the learning that you get from the real world. And delaying your work experience might make you feel like an outlier in your higher studies at elite schools such as LBS, as usually as per my knowledge even in MiM's they have some work experience.

But all this is my personal opinion.
