I have a gmat classic &10 and 2.5 years of workex with EY in US taxation around mutual fund clients. Consultants here are suggesting me to wait another year before applying. Do I have a fair shot this year?

You’ve posted this question on multiple school groups. The answer is largely the same - look up the class profile of the schools and you will find that their sweet spot is 5-6 years. Your 2.5 years WE today means 3.5 by the time you matriculate in 2025. That falls short of the sweet spot. Schools will gauge you from future recruiters point of view, inter alia. Hence, as an admissions consultant, I too would recommend applying in R1 2025 (unless you have some compelling reasons to rush for R2 now itself). I would also recommend using the next 5-6 months to improve your GMAT score. I have a gmat classic &10 and 2.5 years of workex with EY in US taxation around mutual fund clients.
