One general question: Has anyone here ever reached out to their interviewer once the results are declared asking them what went wrong or what could have been their area of improvement?

Indeed I am, but see what I said earlier. Given the non-standard nature of these calls/emails, you will really only know once you know. At some point today, the likelihood of calls will be very low but given that its still early morning in Ann Arbor, I doubt we're there yet. My email might have just been an adcom member wanting to be super organised and schedule his calls as early as possible

Most schools won't provide feedback and will instruct interviewers to not provide feedback either. Especially when you consider that the interview is only a part of your application package and there is likely a combination of factors that meant they couldn't admit you.
