MIT doesn't have rolling admissions; so, even if you already submitted your R2 application, they won't begin to review it and thus won't start sending out interview invites until early next year -- I'd guess Feb / March.

Their recent thank you email included the following: "MBA Round 1 admissions decisions will be communicated online on Wednesday, December 15, 2021." - that could either be via email or maybe the portal? But then again, the interview decisions were sent via email, so maybe it will be email again?

Scrolling through last year's thread, it looks like most were notified by phone. I'll be keeping my phone on me during US working hours on Wednesday just in case I get lucky :D . Good luck everyone!

Honestly, I do not think so. I have seen that they sometimes call on Tuesdays, but still the majority of decisions to be released on Wednesday.
