I have decent extra-curriculars, Stellar grad-school (IIT), Early promotion. Not able to figure out,where it went wrong. Wish there was a way to get specific feedback.
Posted from my mobile device How did you differentiate yourself in terms of your cover letter and short response? Differentiation is key, especially when so many have impressive GMATs, extracurriculars, jobs, grades, etc.
Through company level projects and and initiatives in extra-curriculars that had a tangible result. I see your point. These schools see mny such cases, but I did put in a lot of thought and refined it through many iterations [spoke to current students of particular clubs I could benefit from and others where I could contribute. Mentioned how I'd contribute at particular clubs based on my past and discussion with student, to show 'fit' as well], which still could be below their average. I understand that. But, there are many levels apart from receiving an admit ...:
Waitlist after interview
Ding after interview
Waitlist before interview
And direct ding.
So this kinda feels like a Super-reject, which I did not expect. This is what has me wondering, where I could have gone so wrong.
