Profile Evaluation for MIT Sloan
Hi, I am looking to start studying for the GMAT and wanted to understand if my profile is strong enough.
10th – 76.8%
12th – 84.61%
Bachelors in Accounting and Finance – 6.8/7 CGPA
MCom in Finance – 9.5/10 CGPA
I have a total experience of 5+ years. I worked in an EdTech company for 5 years in the education loan segment, handling sales, financial partnerships, business development, credit evaluation, and financial planning. I am adept at leading cross-functional teams, negotiating with financial institutions, driving revenue growth, and improving operational efficiency as a Senior Manager.
I was awarded “Amazing Mentor” back-to-back for 2022–23 and 2023–24.
Currently, I am working as a Senior Associate – Growth and Business with a recruitment firm, working closely with the founder on core research, business development, marketing, PR, and business delivery.
I only have a 4-month gap between both jobs.
Please let me know if this gap and the change in industry will impact my chances of getting an admit.
Have you had the chance to research MIT Sloan, its DNA, the class profile, etc.? Or, for that matter, all other schools where you have posted the same message in the chats? Do you have a GMAT/GRE score in hand? Do you believe these schools will take you towards the career you want post-MBA? The class profiles on the school’s website and employment reports for the past few years would be a good starting point for you to self-evaluate.
